Ive seen em all, MINI Ones, Coopers Cooper S's, and the classic Mini. I got a couple pics, one has 2 classic Minis and a DB7 in it too . I love Europe!

Probably because of gas prices over there, Huh? Have fun in Europe!

It is because of the roads and parking issues. You'll never be able to rock a Hummer in Rome. That is why so many Euros tool around on scooters or in those Smart Cars.

The MINI is just that, mini, so it is easier to park in small spaces and fit down those narrow streets.

Most importantly - don't the MINIs look HUGE in Europe?????

Most of the cars in Paris are the same size or smaller in my experience. Yes, a few are larger but MINIs are definately in the "European Intermediate Size" category !!

Yeah, they d olook pretty big. I have actually seen plenty of Cooper S's though, so i dont imagine its cause of the gas. Most of the cars are a lot smaller than the new MINI. We were counting cars, and we counted 105 Renault twingos in like 5 hours, its a hilarious car. ill post a pics later, for now i have to go, see you all later!

We went to Paris in April and saw a lot of MINIs. However, there were more Minis than MINIs. Since it's the city, there are fewer parking spaces, so the smaller the better - that is why the Smart cars are doing so well.

Cars squish into parking spots...in order to get out, they usually bang they're way out..no joke. We saw a lot of cracked front and rear bumpers on MINIs.

Most of the MINIs in Paris were MCs and a few were MCSs - not a lot of modifications over there since most Parisians don't keep their vehicles for long. The resale market is pretty big. Typically, Parisians keep their cars for a couple of years and then buy a new car to "break in".

There is talk that the Mayor of Paris wants to impose a tax on any SUVs because of the high price of gas. While we were there, we actually saw a Nissan Titan - it really did look like a tank compared to the other smaller cars.

I took a lot of pics of MINIs and MINIs and other French cars..
You can see them on my Flickr site:

Enjoy your time in Paris! $7 for a coke - ouch.
