Exterior trim.

Is the exterior trim (arches/skirts) going to get chalky with age? Much like the wonderful rubber trim on cars of the 80's/90's? I HATE that so much.

Is there any way around it?

Haven't heard of this and my MINI is still realatively new, but I do know if you don't tape off the trim before waxing you've increased the work needed ot get the wax off which quickly turns very white on the plastic.

It's probably a good idea to use a product that contains some UV protection, so it won't fade over time. Aerospace 303 protectant (liquid spray) is my favorite for all plastic/rubber trim.
