05/06 Bentley Manual
UPDATE-
I posted this on the Bentley webpage, apparently they don't think there would be enough interest in a new manual, so unless we speak up and show them we are interested there may never be a manual that covers our cars. And I know that there have been many small and a few large changes from the 02-04 models.

Dear Bentley Publishing,
I know that there were many changes made to the 05 and 06 models that will be completely different from the 07 model with a turbo and significantly vary from the 20-04 models already covered under the current Bentley Manual. I am constantly recommended to purchase your product, but cannot justify the cost for a manual which is outdated. I am very interested in DIY projects and live ~100 miles from my dealer and I have always done all of my own maintenance outside of warranty which based on mileage will be ending soon, however I have also had access to the complete service manuals for those vehicles and made frequent and regular use of them. I could really benefit from an 05-06 manual as well as many other I have talked to on northamericanmotoring.com (NAM), the sooner the better. I ask that you please, please make a manual for our vehicles before the turbo comes out as the 07 model will be a very different car in terms of wiring and various other components and update us as soon as it becomes available, so we may purchase it.
Thank you,
Motor On

I posted my desire for an update out there on te Bentley site as well. Hopefully we can get enough 05/06 owners to have then reconsider publishing an update.

Bentley Manuals are the best commercially available repair manuals by far. That said, I think that in several applications Bentley either works directly with the manufacturer (subsidized by the manufacturer - Audi springs to mind here), and after the initial hardcopy (book) editions updates are made in CD form. I believe this is infinately cheaper for Bentley, and as most modern wrenches like us are computer savy not too much of an inconvenience. Maybe you could petition them for a CD update in the very least.
p.s. I do so miss the over the top Bentley manuals of the 1990s. I have a three volume set (more than 3,500 pages long) for my 1996 Audi A6, What an impressive piece of work that is!

Thanks Randy, I just went on their forum & posted my request.
I think if they published the 05 - 06 manual or at least an updated supplement they'd make enough money to be worth their while.
