Can someone with the new version confirm that the cabrio (convertable) is indeed covered? Also, this manual has all aspects of witing covered, right down to the color of various accessory wires, right?

Thanks!!

The convertible IS included. Book has a very extensive section on electrical but all pics are in black & white. I didn't go thru it page by page to see if the written descriptions include wire colors. Sorry.

The electrical system section seems to be quite comprehensive. There are color code designations on the diagrams with a key in front of the section. The cabrio is covered. It's even pictured on the cover.

Placed my order with Amazon last night - nice price drop to $75.57. Glad to see the updated version is out.

I'm still waiting for shipment of my new Bentley, but my old Bentley has comprehensive wiring diagrams with wire colors and pin numbers at the connectors. However, the diagrams appear to be just copied from original MINI documents and are quite a chore to decipher. The Haynes manual has much more usable diagrams (example here). For electrical in particular, the Haynes has been very useful to me even though it doesn't cover the cabrio.

ordered mine

This is a good thing, and it's about f g time they got around to superceding the old book. After all, the 05 was the first significant tweak to the first gen. car. Now my mech can take care of the major stuff after warranty expiration, inc those pesky interior gremlins. Looks like the good folks at Classic better stock up on them parts, with that sweet discount
