Another MINI casualty

My great little car took a big bad hit today. A lady in a truck turned out without looking and the jeep which was heading in my direction lost control trying to miss the truck and took me out.

The impact broke my steering and I just rode it up onto the power pole wire.

Nobody hurt except for my broken heart

I feel for you, this sucks! It doesn't look like a writeoff, but I don't know if that is a good thing.

Well, glad to hear everyone is physically okay, hopefully you can be back motoring soon. Too bad people don't pay more attention, esp. in bad weather.

Be glad you are alive and well. The car is replaceable, your life is not.

The car did remarkably well for the impact.

AAAWWWWW . . . DANG!

Jeez . . . no small wonder that freakin' jacked up Jeep was no good at evasive crash avoidance!

Glad you're ok... but where's the truck that started all this?

From your pictures it looks more like a side impact than frontal -- except for the cable... I don't see any airbag deployment?

It looks like the MINI and Jeep sideswipped each other by just a hair.

Probably had nothing to do with jacked up. See the road? It was wet. I had a Toyota Land cruiser, not jacked up reasonable tires and when it rained and you hit the brakes not going directly straight...LOOK OUT...Spinned out very easy. I though it was my brakes. Checked em out..nothing. Than my Cj7 driving friend told me it was a normal thing on a short wheelbase vehicle.

Og course if everyone had DSC, it would be safer.

Oh dang, Aso! I am SO sorry about the wreck. Your MINI held up very well, and I'm glad you weren't injured. Be sure to get checked out, anyway, just in case of delayed pain. Take care.

Sorry about your MINI. Unforunately I think you need to update your sig now " 03 Cooper, tiny ding in drivers door, broken gas cap tether, scratch on rear bumper, pits on windshield, No worries!"

EDIT: Ok so what, Saakey beat me to it...
