MCS Insurance cost??

I know this will vary greatly by location, but I was surprised at the price of my coverage.
100000/300000
250 col deductible

I have 3 cars on my policy a 2000 VW New Beetle TDI, 2005 HEMI Durango, and the 2006 MCS, guess which one is the cheapest?

1. $335 every 6 months
2. $285 /6 months
3. $306 /6 months

Here are the answers
Car 1. is the TDI NB
Car 2. is the MCS
Car 3. is the HEMI D

I was amazed that the 168HP MCS was that much cheaper then the 90HP TDI NB

Male or Female?
Single or Married?
How old?

I'm also in FL but technically my car is from up north and right now I could be paying 2 of those and still not meet my monthly on a clean record.

Initial quote pre-purchase of the MCS was $125/month from State Farm (about $15 more than My R32 had been running me) w/ comprehensive , $250 deductible. I'm a 31 year old single male w/ no wrecks and a bunch of speeding tickets on my record. I also carry my home owners insurance through State Farm but not sure how much of a discount this comes out to.

I don't know if this was an intentional hookup by my agent or not, but when I recieved my new cards/premium info, My MCS was listed as a MINI Cooper and my 4 month premium was only $250... (he's done this kind of stuff in the past, ie: listed my 99.5 GTI GLX as a 2 door Golf)

My cards and policy have the right VIN # on them, and I had specifically stated that it was an "S" at least twice in my conversation with his office after I actually bought the car. Anyone had the same thing happen to them and run into any problems with claims being refused?

im not sure if this is weird or what but my insurance company, has me listed down as a Cooper S. their system, when u put in the VIN number cannot tell the diff. (even though there is a vin number diff. I believe the Cooper have a C in them while the S have an X) but yea, so for the company im with, I guess it all comes out to the be the same.

It makes a difference the mileage being driven for each car. My insurance company (AAA) sends me a mileage survey each year and tracks the usage on each car I insure with them. I also have to designate each car as to whether it is a commute car, a 'recreational' car, etc. I believe all that info is factored in when determining the rate for each vehicle.

Ouch...
I just got my 6 month insurance bill and it actually dropped ~$30. Something about changes in liability and safety features or something. So I'm paying ~570 every 6 month.

$520 a month WOW that is about what my P&I payment is on my home. I think when I was 20 I was not paying much more then most others. I recall I has a 1966 ChevyII with a 500HP LT1 in it and I was getting economy car discount!

It doesn't make much sense to compare insurance costs with one another since there are so many variables that go into each person's rate. Beyond the specific coverage, some people have multiple-car policies, different driving records, etc. But ZIP Code is one of the most important factors of all.

(Just to play along, I'm paying about $100 a month for my 04 MCS, good driver discount, 21st Century, zip is 92116)
