The only problem I see with your choices is that almost no-one will understand them. I enjoy reading the creativity in plates. I guess a Russian or legend buff might chuckle. Ron. Do it in English for all to enjoy. :smile:

Personally, I think they both fall pretty flat as vanity plates, but I guess I agree more with Lockjaw's quotes. Very funny!

I'm curious minimotorin, what great literary works are these vanity plates alluding to?

 

Norse mythology is in a lot of great works, not to mention opera, rock and roll lyrics and even the great resource of comic books and cartoons but I really thought most folks were taught mythology in school and college. Folks need to read more. For those that are interested in the classic 'end of it all' story from Norse Mythology:

Ragnarok ("Doom of the Gods&quot, also called Gotterdammerung, means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology. It will be preceded by Fimbulvetr, the winter of winters. Three such winters will follow each other with no summers in between. Conflicts and feuds will break out, even between families, and all morality will disappear. This is the beginning of the end.
The wolf Skoll will finally devour the sun, and his brother Hati will eat the moon, plunging the earth [into] darkness. The stars will vanish from the sky. The **** Fjalar will crow to the giants and the golden **** Gullinkambi will crow to the gods. A third **** will raise the dead.

The earth will shudder with earthquakes, and every bond and fetter will burst, freeing the terrible wolf Fenrir. The sea will rear up because Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent, is twisting and writhing in fury as he makes his way toward the land. So it's not really that we're literature-challenged. It's just that some folks here are challenged when it comes to Zeppelin tunes, Dungeons and Dragons and some Norse Mythology.
Color me guilty on the last two, for sure.

Where'd you get the summary (very good if you wrote it yourself). Is it a very straightforward translation of the Prose Edda or summary? It's been so long since I've read it...

 

I'll dig up some comic books and Zeppelin albums on my own. I'm afraid I don't know much about Dungeons and Dragons, though.

As far as the Norse Mythology goes, I should have taken more liberal arts courses!

 

I vote for neither....If you have to explain what they are who is going to know what you are trying to say. I know if I looked at them as you drove by I would scratch my head and never figure them out.

Gee you are pretty smart!!!.....And just think I bought this guy a beer and he chugged it just like a college kid.

 

I can only read English so you could just as well say "Mother" in Russian on your plate. I called the TxDOT office and had a girl there look up a bunch for me. She looked up MINI ME, MY MINI, A MINI, B MINI, BE MINI, and all were taken, then finially after several more she said that GO MINI was not taken so I got that plate!

Ok My point... keep checking for MINI plates in English so people know what you are proud of and want to tell them!
