No Match for MY MINI!

I know this is gonna get locked down, so hurry up and read before the thread gets yanked!

I was doing a few chores around town in my MINI the other day when I was challenged! Not one to back down, I took him on and blew him away. All of this story is true.

I had just stopped at an intersection, turning right. And there across the street I saw a cocky kid eyeing my MINI. I didn't think too much about it, everyone notices these cars. As I started to turn the corner, he took off!

Now I've seen some fast bigwheels in my day, but this kid could really pedal. He may have only been a preschooler, but he pedaled that thing like he was first-grader! I was up to around 3 mph before I caught up to him!
Then I just toyed with him. I ran right along side him at 5 MPH, acting like I had just topped out. And in fairness, 1st gear was really screaming now. I pulled ahead a bit and fell back a bit, you know, really teasing him good. I could see he was really puffing hard now, getting too winded to keep up the speed (or maybe he was just too scared). Sensing my opportunity, I threw my MINI in 2nd gear and left him behind! I was at 10 mph within a fraction of a second. These little cars are amazing! I honked the horn goodbye, to thank him for the entertainment. Honestly, what was this kid thinking!

Let me tell you, a bigwheel is no match for my MINI. Anytime. Anyplace.

Cheers!

In fairness, he may have had his winter wheel on. Come summer I may wish I had an S if we meet again!

I must be dumber than I look, are the mph numbers in the original story true numbers divided by 10, or are they true numbers and you're racing on snow/ice? Does "bigwheels" mean snowplow? I'm not from a region where it snows so I might have missed some obvious lingo and sarcasm here.

Ok, now I get it. That is just too funny. But with a call name like "WingNut" what do you expect ?

i thought the climax was gonna be that you smashed into a car parallel parked along the side of the street or something.

Well I checked with the pre-schooler down the road here and he says that for '07 there will be a color change to the bigwheel and that the BPW kit (that's the Big Peddle Works) will be factory installed. Additionally they will be available in carbon fiber! He has some unauthorized photos of the prototype that he got from his sisters friends cousins boyfriend. But was relunctant to share them at this time.

Actually this same kid always bikes, bigwheels and/or runs down the sidewalk when he see's my MINI. Kids like MINIs!

I think my checkers really appeal too. I once saw a kid reaching for my mirror caps as he was being hauled by his mother into the mall.

Or maybe that you stalled or your car sputtered to a stop and the kid on the bigwheel smoked you!

northamerican motoring does not condone posts about street racing of any kind. You must be punished. You are grounded for life. Shame, shame.
