New GP - Rear seat?

I've been hearing for a while now that the GP will be a two-seater, but the marketing copy on mini.com doesn't mention this, as far as I could tell. Anyone know for sure?

Seems silly to delete a functional rear seat just to save 40 pounds, especially when they are likley to spec 20+lb wheels and runflats....

It's the special limited edition MCS that's going to have a Works package with about 217 hp and weigh 80 - some lbs less than stock. Go over to motoringfile.com to check it out.

Hmm... Red, do you know whether the front seats will be something better than the standard "Sports" seats?

I have a question about terminology ... I know the full name of the limited edition is the "MINI Cooper S (with) John Cooper Works GP Kit" but it's bound to end up with a nickname.

Which way are folks leaning - MINI GP? or GP MINI? I've seen both terms used.
