After thoughts from Oxford MINI Plant Tour
YOU all need to GO!
Today I conveyed out w/ fellow "Motorers" from Doncaster, UK (near Leeds; up north). After about 100 miles or so of driving we finally reached the birthplace of our loved ones! The tour took us around the whole production process minus the bodyshop/paintshop-so a video explained and showed us the process.
It was great seeing the whole process from sheetmetal to technicians driving the vehicles ready for drop-off.
I did see a lot of US Spec'd MINI's including a: BRG/MCS convertible ready to be loaded onto a truck! Anybody here expecting one real sooon??!

Just wondering - What did you think of the Quality Control and attention-to-detail of the plant workers that you saw in person?
And, did you happen to spot any 2007 MINI's?
(I'm betting the answer is NO, but I thought I would ask...)
