My family will be visiting Europe some time in May or June of this year. Our schedule is still flexible and I want to tour the MINI factory in Oxford. I sent an email to Oxford.Plant-Tours@bmwgroup.com on Monday and have not received a reply yet. So my questions are: Is this the correct email address, and if so how long should I expect it to take to get a response? Also, is this the best way to try and schedule a tour? I really, really want to tour the factory.

I emailed miniusa and they sent me the address to email the plant and got an answer in a couple of days. When you email the plant give them what weeks you will be in the area and they will send you the dates and times available for that week, I will be doing the plant tour on April 10 from 9:30am-12:30

 

We went last June 05 and should be going again this year to see the extension to the plant

I think this will be an annual pilgrimage to The MINI Plant...

 

The e-mail address you have is sort of correct. They reply using it but I have had trouble getting a reply from that too so they told me to use Oxford.Plant-Tours@mini.com.

I organise tours there at least once a year so I also have the direct phone number which is +44 (0) 1865825842.

Yous shouldn't need the (0) but just in case it doesnt work try it with it.

My wife and I were able to tour the factory last December. They only had evening tours because as we found out from our tour guide, Plant Oxford was doing "secret things" during the day

If you are not driving and want to stay in Oxford, there is a Premier Travel Inn located within walking distance to the factory.

Just got an answer to my request (wanted to visit the plant in july):

"Please accept our apologies for not being able to offer any tour dates for more than 3 months in advance. Due to the shut downs, refurbishment work going on at the plant and the high production volume we are unfortunately in no position to finalise a longer term tours schedule. Please also note that there might not always be a steady pattern to the schedule but e.g. evening tours only. The time you are looking at we are likely to offer evening tours throughout the week and Saturday mornings.
However, we now know that there will be no public tours from August up to and including October 2006. Towards the end of the year we are likely to offer a very limited number of public tours.
We hope you do not mind getting back to us maybe next month and would be looking forward to welcoming your here, kind regards
