R50/53 ZYMOL finally used it
I bought the Zymol kit that was on sale almost as soon as it came out. I did not get to use it till late January when I had both the time AND a garage at my disposal.
The pre-polish solution took what seemed like forever to use. Atleast 2 1/2 hours. BUT she looked as good as she did on the show room floor when I was done with that! I applied the polish by hand instead of using the spongey thing hta tcame with the kit. I did this for 2 reasons, One the sponge was drinken up alot of the product and I am cheap
BUT ALSO and mainly beacause with my bare hand I foudn alll sorts of little bug bits and other tiny debris that the sponge itself was nto removing. Also I found that this product rocked for getten dead bug bits off all over paint, chrome, glass. I drive 40 miles a day each way to/ from work, so in the evening i hit ALOT of bugs (and so far a few birds too
Next came the actually wax/polishing phase... after 2 1/2 hours of using the pre polish cleaner i was tired and wondering how loooong I was still gonna be, BUT the polish itself went on smooth and quickly. And AFTER THE POLISH!!! OMG!!! she has never looked sooooo beautifull!!!! The tiny tub of wax/polish kinda had me wondering if I had gotten ripped off or gone overboard at all. Welll I hardly used ANY OF IT. I can easily do 6 applications from the one jar (the jar says 8, but i dont know about that ... yet..)

I would DEFINATELY recomend this product I will buy more myself when the time comes!.

Zymol is great stuff. I love the smell of it. It makes me want to eat it. There is one other product you might want to give a try. Its made by the Wax Shop and it is called Safe Cut. It works wonders for those fine little swirl marks that really show in black paint in the sunlight.

I love using Zymol on my 3-series, and will continue to use it on my MINI. It's not the best for optical clarity, but I feel it provides a great compromise between protection and looking good  I may switch to Zymol Concours in the future, White Caranuba is more optically transparent than yellow caranuba, and may have better protection too, but you pay for it, about 3 times pricier!
I did my car two weeks ago. It has been put away for the winter but I had to detail my 65 Mustang first. I found the cleaner to be pretty good and it smells great but it takes forever to use by hand.
I used it on the bonnet, nose and boot areas were I did not want to use my Porter Cable polisher because of the bonnet stripes, emblems, etc. I used the PC on the roof and sides with Meguires swirl remover.
I followed up with two coats of the wax, one that day and one 24 hours later. The wax goes on very easy and buffs off clean. The only down side is that you have to use one hand to put it on and the other hand to buff it of with a cloth. I only use Micro Fiber for polishing and waxing.
It looks better now tha it did in June when I picked it up.
Motor On......We hope......If spring ever comes!!!
