I like taking pictures of all sorts of things, but the curves of my MINI just get my heart racing.

Rather than clog up otherwise important forums, I thought I'd clog up this one with pictures of my baby.

Enjoy.

There is no shame in self-indulgence, especially with one's MINI. Nice use of shadows and light. Question...The real tail lights, the blue color seen throught the clear lens, reflection? or body color coming through?

I like it all blue and no stripes. It must be challenging to keep clean in the snow! I note the clear tail lights, kinda cool. Let me ask you this, why did you install the front license plate bracket and not the front plate? Just curious. Also, why aren't the "S" brackets colored the same as the car? The regular MC's I've seen are the same color. Mine is black too, and I have EB/WH MCS. I thought I just got ripped by the dealer.

Davbret,
Are there critters in your mini in that last picture?
I like the real tailight covers. Do you think in any way it is a hazard or harder to be seen, especilly at night?. The last thing I would want is some SUV to be in my back seat.

Thanks all....

To answer a couple questions...

Body color through the clear taillights: I'm not exactly sure. I imagine that it's just a reflection, but now that you mention it, I'll have to check.

Front bracket with no plate: I bought the car in PA which doesn't require front plates, but I live in NJ, which does (sucks). At the time I took those pics, I only had a temp tag.

Brackets: Don't know that one either. Just came that way.

The Indi Blue is beautiful, and nice to photograph, but hard to keep the snow off it in this weather. I'm very much looking forward to Summer.

When I get some more time, and the MINI is cleaner, I'm going for B&W.

Yup, dog like critters. Jack, my Jack Russell Terrier and Zoe, my Chocolate Lab.

MINI-Madness.com sells the tinted taillight covers made of Stone-Guard like substance. The lights are VERY VERY visible thru the tint.

Hey,
I love those tinted taillights, how much and where can I get some like that, how long do you have to leave your mini to get it done?

Indigo, here in WA state they require front plates as well but lots of folks ignore that and don't put them on. A friend has a MINI with no front plates, got pulled over for something and the cop didn't mention it.

Not sure if NJ is militant about that or not, but if they aren't I think it's worth the risk and am running without them myself.

Thanks motomohair. That's exactly what I was going for: simple and clean.

picoman: I've thought about it, but in NJ, the state is filled with lots of little townships with their own police depts. As a result, many of them have little better to do than pull over folks for non-moving violations.

I'm with you though, The front plate just messes up the whole front end. Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if my car was yellow (NJ plates are yellow right now).

Mayme I should lobby my congressman.
