R50/53 sunroof question
hello!! i have a quick random question, does the back portion of the sunroof open?
the LB MINI dealership said no, but my father-in-law went to Scottsdale MINI today and thinks that the moonroof part of the sunroof opens..

No, the second pane doesn't open, but that would be nice. The first pane opens up and slides back, and covers over the rear pane, thus preventing the rear pane from opening.
Still a wonderful thing to have!

It would be kinda cool if you could open one OR the other...use the rear pane by itself. I'm guessing that it would take a lot of downforce at speed (like a wing), but it would be nice for air flow. No doubt, it is the option I'm most looking forward to (esp. since my last car was a convertible...it's tough to give up the wind in your hair!)
