The official my Mini has no problems thread!

OK... On White Roof radio it was mentioned that no one ever posts about NOT having problems. People only post the bad things that happen!

Well let's change that... maybe I'm overly optimistic (I'm taking delivery tomorrow and I'm excited... so sue me!) but lets talk about those (rare?) Mini's that have been reliable! There have got to be some of you that are completely satisfied as far as quality. Speak up!!!

My 02 MC had one small problem that was not mechanical at all. My 05 MCSC has been rock solid for my 12 months of ownership and that includes roof wear issues.

I've had more problems with the Hondas and Acuras I've owned than either MINI.

DAMN! I forgot about that. But I don't consider it a "problem", so it doesn't count.

I have been a long time subscriber to the "No problem" MINI club since 2002 :

2002 MC CVT with 34K miles: Troublefree (Still with original factory windshield too)
2004 MCS (Sold February 2005): 17.7K miles when I sold it and not a single problem
2005 MCS (Replaced '04 MCS): 6,800 miles since 3/20/2005 and not a single trip back to the dealer for anything, zilch, nothing, nada

4400 miles since June on my Cooper, and no problems that weren't directly caused by dealer idiocy. (And I got a free windshield sunscreen out of that one)

I had a slight buzz coming from the sunroof area but it's gone after I wiggled the trim around it. The engine used to hiccup a bit at start up but it's gone, so I attribute it to a bad tank of gas.

Other than that after 3,500~ miles so far so good. Knock on wood of course.

Just rolled over 7000kms, other than a little dash rattle that was mostly fixed, no problems at all to speak of.

Still a rookie with only 2800 miles, but the only problem my MINI has is that I don't get to drive it enough!

You should rename this thread "tempt fate by proclaiming that you've had no issues.......yet..."

I bought my 02 MCS used with 4700 mls. on the odometer. The only problem I've had, was an issue with wrinkled leather on the front passenger seat cushion that did'nt appear to be normal. I brought the car to a local interior shop and they claimed that the wrinkling was in the hide and that it should have not made it into the car. The MINI rep agreed to replace the seat cushion under warranty.

I also ask MINI of Pittsburgh for any prior service records for the previous owner and the only issue he had was a rear hatch rattle that was fixed under warranty.

So! I'm very happy that I have had no real problems after 1yr and 7K mls by me (11,700 total). And that's with a pre-owned 02 MCS!!!
