I vote for the parcel shelf. That other parcel shelf is interesting. I also can't live without my ipod adapter.

"Improve" is a very subjective thing. The added mass of the Whalen **** will only serve to deaden the feel and force you to exert higher force to accelerate the **** with each shift to achieve the same shift times. Just like putting heavier wheels on.

A lighter **** is easier to accelerate with each shift and allows you to actually feel the spring action of the shift mechanism for less missed shifts. A wood **** feels and looks great, does not adsorb heat the way a metal **** will on a hot sumer day(this is mentioned as a WARNING by another poster who has obviously burned his hand on a metal ****). It will stay warmer in freezing weather and not stick your hand to the **** on those really cold days.

The big thing is it that they realise that they have been taken for a $150 ride and refuse to admit it and want to sucker as many others in on the same bum ride.

Buy a MOMO, they are lighter and improve the shifter action and feel over a heavy ****. Install the Ultrik Short Shift kit which keeps a stock length shifter inside(this shortens the distance, with the taller MOMO ****, your hand has to travel between the wheel and the ****) while reducing shifter throw by either 15% or 20%, I can't remember which. All without increasing shift effort.

Just look at a race car that still uses a manual shifter and observe where the shift **** is relative to the steering wheel. It is usually located near the 3 o'clock position and only a hands width from the wheel to make for quick shifts and less time spent with a hand off the wheel.

I just installed a wood Tall Anatomic **** from MOMO on my SB/S '06 MCS. It is the same **** that I had on my '02 MCS for 37,000 smiles. Check out mine here http://www.mini2.com/galleries/show...to/9983/cat/704

Wow; I must be a heck of a con artist!

I've managed to fool over 1500 people, with some of them falling for it a second, third, or even a fourth time.

Back on topic - I would have to go with the glovebox organizer. But my Spot Clock is a close second. I really got used to the clock location of the pre-05's. If the Spot Clock were illuminated or glow-in-the-dark, it would easily be my #1. I've attached a few pics for the curious...

They may not be made to such a high level of finish as the Whalen, but they will provide similar benefit for shifting.
OK, I haven't tried the $150 buck shift ****....but I'm wondering if I'm the only one who really likes the stock 5-speed shift ****?

there really isnt anything wrong with the stock ****, aside from it being a tad on the big side.

if it grabbed better on my aftermarket SS, i would be using my stock know, but it likes to move around alot, so a bolt on **** is in order.

They were added at the time of delivery. They were like $250 the rest was installation. Apparantly you pretty much have to rip apart half the car to put them in.

Please add these to the list of favorite MINI accessories...

...partly because I have yet to see another MINI with bullhorns (mounted inside at least), partly because the burly guys in big trucks that usually look like they want to run my over instead smile and give me a toothless grin and a thumbs up, and partly because it makes me laugh when countless NAM members tell me how dangerous they are and that I'll poke my eye out, etc.

And yes, I did just buy an entire bull skull with horns in Mexico, but I am still not sure if I can incorporate this into the MINI, or if I will have to just keep it above the fireplace where it currently grazes.

Love my wind blocker.... On the days I drive to work, I can drive with the top down and not look like a complete mess when I get there...

Err . . . . I have a parcel shelf that I'm having problems installing and I'm working on a car-puter but ast it stands now, the only accessory I have is carpet floor mats so they win by default.

A beautiful wife who understands how important MINIs are.
Check -- mine is making the payments on my -- er, I mean our -- MINI.
and you enjoy it every time your hand drops down there
I experience that feeling often but I'm typically not driving when it happens!

I'll have to add a vote for my Whalen. I can't say I notice the weight difference in my case, but I love the feel of this one in my hand over the stock ****. Also, appearance and build quality are absolutely top notch. Best $150 I've spent on the car so far! I have one of the wings designs, and it is a nice match for the car.

I have the parcel shelf, glove box organizer, sunroof shades, and several other accessories that I really like, but nothing comes close to the Whalen.
