I have to agree that the parcel shelf, Cocomats and XM are all great additions to my MINI. But....

since I have to pick only one accessory that is the "must have" the Whalen Shift Machine gets my vote.

I'd have to vote for our alien navigator . Beau just makes motoring more fun.

Can it be an OEM installed option like the Nav or are you trying to find out about things people add afterwards?

I think my gray floormats are the best. I don't know what I'd do without them.

"What do you consider to be THE absolute BEST accesory for your MINI??? The ONE you would now NEVER be without? (performance parts arent counted as accessories)."

Nav is cool. Its an accesory. What is the ONE you now would NEVER be without (like in your next MINI). For example, A/C is NOT an accessory because its come stock with the car. I picked BT because it truly rocks if you use your cell phone and my wife said she would never drive without it again

For those that have taken their Whalen for granted, try going back to stock for a few days. When I had a scheduled dealer appointment I'd switch back to stock because I was afraid that my dealer was not mod-friendly and that they might deny warranty. Anyway, the last few times I've had to take the MINI in I just said "screw it I'm not going back to stock again!"

The best for me is the "Light In Sight" stick on lense that allows you to see the traffic lights without putting a crick in your neck. Check it out http://www.lightinsight.com

After that I would have to say, in no particular order;
Two touch up
Heated seats

whalen shifter...even after getting all my performance mods, the whalen shifter still greatly increased my driving pleasure. in fact, i even enjoy short-shifting @~2-2.5k rpm now just to experience the shifting pleasure, even though it does take dampen the experience of the peformance mods. of course, short-shifting also gets me better gas mileage at the same time.

I thought about one the other day so I threw a rough design idea together. It needs a good bit of work if I ever decide to use it. Especially figuring out the 2.
