I love the feature. We were still over 100 degrees last week in west Fort Worth. Interior temps easily get over 150. Letting that first blast out before entering the car is a good option.

During the summer, I used put the windows down with the remote all the time in my last car, and expect to with the MINI.

What I don't have enabled (not even sure it's an option on the MINI) is the ability to CLOSE the windows with the remote. That feature comes in very handy when you get out of the car and then realize that the you left the sun roof, or windows open. Not as likely on a two door I suppose, but still helpful.

You can put the roof and windows up with the key, you just have to stick the key in the lock and turn and hold. A little bit of a pain, but not bad.
