100K Mile MINI Club...

Here is a list of the current 100,000 mile MINIs. This is from the information found on the posts here. If I have missed any please let me know.

Our 2 MINIs, one mine and one still the companys, are each 2002 models with very early builds, March or April. My MINI is EB/W, and has never been autocrossed. The other MINI (130K+) is DS/B also never autocrossed.

happy Motoring to all!!!

Excellent. It would be great if there were some other stats available for each, such as type of MINI (Cooper S, Cooper, CVT), model year/delivery date, and location (State/Country).

Glad to see a bunch of MINIs motoring past 100K without much mechnical incident. It's obvious these cars can live way past 100K, but now we will have to deal with "age" related issues...100K in 2 or 3 years is much different than 100K in say 5 to 7 years, which may be more typical for most drivers. Every car I've owned has lasted 7 to 9 years before it gave up the ghost or just became too expensive to maintain. I'm hoping my 2003 MINI CVT will become a classic someday...and still run like a champ!

Rock on,

-boognish

dpilgrim has an MCS and lives near Tampa, Florida. He autocrosses his 100,000 mile MINI and recently bought a 2nd one, keeping his 1st. Here is his MINI with the 100,000+ MILES MOTORED - MINI MILEAGE CLUB grille badge:

Who gives out those 100K+ badges? MINI-USA or is it a custom thing?

Very cool! I'm almost halfway there. . I need to get out motoring more!

From what I have learned of the Badges that is the only one. According to my servicing dealer they are not able to get another. It would be great if they did!

I am now a club member with 101k!

I added the intake, exhaust, 15% pulley and sway bar before hitting 25k so anyone who is concerned about whether the engine holds up need not worry.

The car has had its share of problems but never let me down.
Warranty repairs:
- replaced steering pump
- replaced drivers window motor
- replaced coolant expansion bottle
- fixed leaking master brake cylinder
Out of warranty repairs:
- replaced oil cooling fan
Current problems to be fixed soon:
- passenger seat recliner not working
- drivers window track problems
Of course, there are lots of rattles!

I plan on keeping the car another year and giving it to my son with 125k miles. I will then be ready for an 07 or 08 Cooper S. I will get a stripped car with just LSD and replace suspension components and do engine upgrades asap - no waiting 25k miles next time! I am expecting there to be lots of upgrade choices a year from now.

Lesson learmed - don't get DSC if you plan on engine upgrades. The way it kills engine power as soon as wheels spin is a real pain! I would like ABS on without DSC which you can't do if you have DSC.

Nik, I seem to follow (no pun intended) everyone of your posts when it comes to mileage!

I rolled through 100,000 back in June of 06 and currently sitting at 125,000+ I might even catch you this year

Can I join the club? On Day 2 of The Great Ice Cream Run, I hit the mark:

This was just last week, but it's over 102K already. Between TGICR and MOT, I put about 2500 miles on it a week or so.

Forgot when I hit 100,000. I think it was sometime January 2008. I think I was coming back from Helix after having the RMW tune.

All the miles are mine.

I'll be an honorary member of the 100K mile club in about 4 years time. Just turned 40K on my 3 year old '05 MCS. At my current rate of driving (1300 miles per month or 15,600 miles/year) I should be there in about 3 and a half to 4 years time... April 2012 give or take.
