ever scratch bottom of the car?

After driving for about 1k miles on my MCS, Tonight's the first time the bottom of my front car scratch the ground coming out of a ramp. It was night time, raining, and I was in a new area so I didn't realize how steep it was. I got out of the car and took a lonk at my front bumper. Luckily I realize that it's black rubber in the front of my stock MCS. Thank god there wasn't any major damage.

Now I'm kinda glad I didn't get the underbody aero kit but still think about getting it someday. I'm also thinking of lowering the car but if this keeps happening, I might just not do it.

I'll drive more carefully from now on over bumps and hills. Anyone ever scratch the bottom of their car to the road?

My driveway has a significant dip down to street level...I now back-out and enter the driveway at an angle, one front wheel at a time...no more bottoming-out! My neighbor still uses a wooden ramp to get his '05 'Vette out onto the street!

I scrape on a fairly regular basis and I have the Aero kit and I have M7 springs, so I'm lowered. Generally, when I scrape, I'm not actually scraping the front bumper with the paint on it, I'm scraping the black plastic lip that is a few inches behind the painted part of the front bumper. My husband can't get his fist under it. I try my best to pay attention and not scrape, but since its this black lip, that noone will ever see, I don't freak out too much about it when I do scrape.

I don't even really think about it anymore. The first time it happens it is disturbing, but once you realize it's just a piece of plastic it's no big deal.

I also scrape a lot and my car is stock height. You will also learn to stop well short in parking spaces too.

I actually had to do under and trim the rough edge on the plastic piece on mine it looked so bad.
