2 MINI family?

I picked up my MCS on Friday. Today, Sunday, my wife took her first drive behind the wheel. (We both have limited experience with a manual transmission, so this was a refresher for her.) When we got back, my wife said "I can't wait to get rid of the minivan, and become a 2 MINI family."

I know that feeling. After taking my wife on a MINI run she started talking about how a couple there had 2 MINIs. She is now wanting to pay off the Kia so we can get her one. It sounds good to me. I don't mind when she drives mine but, if she had one of her own we could both drive them. Every one wins.

At some point we will be a 2 MINI 4 Kid family. I will keep my SUV for when he is out of town on business, as i wont be able to fit everybody in the MINI. Until that happens i have reserved "his" car on the weekends and Tuesday nights(when i drive accross town for a kid function)

2 MINI family here, see sig picture. The best thing about it has to be my wife no longer complains about my spirited driving. She knows that's how the car was meant to be driven.

We're trying to be a 3 MINI family, but we just can't find what my son wants and can afford in the used market. Damn resale value.

I may become a 2 MINI family one of these days but there's just one of me so I'm currently working up a justification/excuse for myself. So far I have myself wrapped around my little finger!!

OH how I want to be a 2 MINI family. It is difficult enough just waiting for the first MINI!

ever since I got my MCS, my bro's been trying to steal my keys several times and have succeeded on many occassion. and now he's looking for a car and leaning strongly to buy anohter MCS for himself... I want to be the only cool one but it might actually be cool to have another Cooper.

We have just become a two MINI family! My husband, Yucca, loves his MINI. We just picked up mine this weekend, and it is fantastic! He drives a manual transmission S. I have a CVT automatic Cooper. I love it. We are like a small parade together. I highly recommend it.:smile::smile:

Yes, I agree with my wife that having 2 MINI's is the best possible solution for any family!

Here's a picture I took of our homecoming this evening. Light was fading but I wanted to capture the first moment our MINI's met!

The green one's looking a little frisky. Better watch out or you'll have a baby go-kart running around.

I can't wait to see it at the next meet or the Dragon if you take yours, PurplePeopleEater.

Being a two MINI family is the best!

We have doubled our pleasure for just over a week now, and it's great! One MC, one MCS, one cabrio, one tintop. Twice the fun and no waiting!

We are definitely our own parade and we were joking that if our cars had offspring it would be a flip-paint, hardtop speedster.

The only problem is what to do with all the big KEYS....

TwOMinis

We became a 2 mini family in Oct '02. We were left 'unsupervised' as both kids were off at school (finally). On a whim, my wife suggested we test drive the new mini...we were sold...purchased "our fun car" that day. "Our new car" seemed to turn into "her fun car" and within 2 wks we had our second.
This has worked out wonderful as I got the 'mod-bud' on the way home from the dealership w/ hers and I'm sure she wouldn't have gone for that

You've got the purple? I'm trying to convince my wife to get a Purple Automatic but I think she wants the blue, but we haven't seen the purple yet, can you share more outdoor pictures, I like the silver top on Purple, but I can't find it in the Canadian Mini web site, seems like they still have the 05 on the site? I wonder why they haven't change it to 06 yet?

This is just Purple People Eater's opinon, but the purple is fantasic with the silver! The blue is going to be much more common and not as dynamic. If you go with the purple and silver, you will want to do a stripe that ties into the:smile::smile::smile::smile: silver. The hubby will post pics when he gets back..............:smile:

She's had a purple Z28 for 12 years now and she still loves it, but she thinks it's time for a change but as I said this purple is different, nothing like your Z28, and the silver top will contrast a lot to what she has now, I believe you when you say it's fanastic, now I have to call the dealer to find out why it's not on the Canadian web site.

The only top options are black, white or purple

Yucca is still on the phone with an old buddy, but he will get back to you. In my personal opinion, it seems that the silver roof lacks a little PIZAZZ unless you tie it into the body. I chose the chrome package (with chrome mirror caps). We added the chrome side vents, because it seemed to be an obvious oversight. It didn't look right until we added the checkerboard bonnet stripes.
What do you think? Maybe you need more photos.........

The purple and silver combo is really stunning. When my wife chose the colors, I was initially concerned that it would be too much "over the top" and bizarre, but that is not the case at all.

The purple is more dignified and classy than it sounds. It is not intensely bright purple since it has a lot of blue in it. The color it appears changes dramatically depending on the lighting. Unfortunately, we have not actually seen it in bright sunlight, but I will get photos for you in different light as soon as I can.

I am also very happy that it will likely be a somewhat rare combo since most people will stick with the safe and less adventurous blue/silver combo. I probably shouldn't speak so highly of the purple/silver if I want it to remain rare but it is too stunning to keep a secret!

Check out my gallery for more photos and I will be adding more in the next week when I get a chance to do a nearly proper photo shoot!

We are expecting. Placed a deposit on one this past weekend. Should be here sometimes if February. It has only been 2 days, but the wait is killing me already.

Beautiful view. Better than a beach front view any day.

Also I am thinking of starting a Bumble Sister Fund. It is not quite a non profit organization but it will help me join the 2 MINI family club. Just PM me and I will give you an address to send the check or money order to. Remember every little bit helps. Shamless I know but It just might work.
