Well Kyle I hope you wind up joining the pepper white club! And it's a win-win situation for you and your brother, maybe the folks will be happy with it. If money isn't an issue I guess it's better to have a 16 year old in a nice new safe car that he's somewhat familiar with. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I thought about it, but my first car was white. I'm big on change.

You never know though, I've been known to change my mind a lot. Just ask MINIClo or any of the others that have been following my whole little MINI scenario for the last couple years.....haha.

I just think of it this way.....

When the day actually comes that I get to go pick up my new MCS, it will be that much sweeter.

It's looking like my plan is going to work. My parents seem fine with it, after giving it a couple days of thought.

So, by the time my brother finishes driver's ed and gets his license it will be mid-December. At that point, or soon after, I'll order my MINI. It will probably be late February/Early March when I actually pick it up.

I'll let everyone know if/when I order it, but until then, nothing new will be happening.

I have to sit and wait for a couple months.

MIB and I look forward to seeing you and yours at the Dragon next year!

I would suggest you go for the Anthracite head liner if you can fit it in the budget.

That and the Factory Nav are the only two things I would have gotten if funds were unlimited!

I don't like either one

I like the nav, but I like the center speedo too much to give it up.

Nope, not gone forever. If for some reason this plan crashes and burns, I'll still be getting a MINI in the near future, probably an '07.

I'm thinking I'll have an '06 fairly soon though. I can't see why not.

I am considering a Magellan 300 as Aftermarket Nav.

Yeah, I like that idea better. Plus, you can take it out of the car if you want to.

If it goes ahead, will you still be ordering from MINI Peabody Kyle? Your location says something about Arizona!?

The Arizona thing is not happening for at least a year.

A guy I've known for a long time, and has given me a LOT of info/help reguarding the MINI, got a job at MINI of Boston (Herb Chambers).

Even though I've heard stories about that dealership, I kinda feel obligated to go through him since he's basically been following my whole MINI ordeal for the last couple years.

I'm torn. Reguardless of where I buy, MOP will be "my dealership" that I use for service, etc. It's a lot closer to me.

So Kyle are you pretty sure about the blue and silver combo now? Should look pretty sweet, can't wait to see it.

Congrats!!! Finally have your MSC visible in the future!
BTW, I bet the DSC and LSD is good for the snow belt area. Plus, LSD is good to get, since it cost you more if you want to retrofit it later.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

I haven't seen that combo yet either, but I HOPE it's sweet.

By the time I order the car and it comes in, the bulk of winter will have passed. By the time next winter rolls around, I doubt i'll be living in the snow belt.

So, I figure traction control is enough. Is there really much of a difference between it and DSC anyway? I dunno, I still may add it.

Add it.
And hope you will never need it.

DSC won't do anything for you in snow - ASC+T traction control is what helps there.
DSC will try to save the car if you ever run into too much speed and too much corner at the same time! Try never to be there ... but if it ever happens, you want everything possible on your side. I'm sure your parents would agree
