Anybody able to order "one off" color combinations? You know....the ones thay don't allow you to...like chili red w lapis blue leather interior. Mine is on order, but I'm wondering if it will be truly unique.

 

If it's possible to order "unallowable" combinations, such as the one you described, does anyone know of others that have purchased Cooper-specific colors (such as PW or VR) on an S? Never asked a dealer about it, but I'm curious.

I would love to ofder a safety orange colored MINI.

One of my Land Rover buddies has a D-90 that came from the factory in this color. I can't remember if it was a mistake at the paint shop or a single vehicle painted as a test color, but it is the ONLY one like it, and is so incredibly cool that I hope that it ends up in a museum someday.

There were 5 other 1994 D-90's that had unique colors, but this one was so incredibly bizarre and awesome!

I can imagine it being a bit of a hassle to get them to do it, but anything is possible if you stick to it.

 

Safety Orange... well not quite... but stay tuned for this may happen......

Strangely enough I emailed MINIUSA about this very thing the other day....I would really like a velvet red MCS....but alas it was not to be. I was told that ordering a MCS in velvet red just was not possible...if anyone has any luck doing such "prohibited" things I'd like to know how they accomplished it.

I know ford lets you get unallowable colors if you order them in fleets. For example, if I wanted to get an F150 in schoolbus yellow, I'd have to find 4 other like minded wierdos, I mean buddies, for the 5 unit fleet minimum.

Well....accordinging to miniusa, mine is built and in transit. Chili Red, White Top & LApis Blue interior. I ordered it not knowing what would happen, but I think they built it. 'Sure hope it makes me chuckle the same way I did the first time I walked up to a Mini.

I know what "they" think, but what do you think of that combination?

I was disappointed that I couldn't get my S in velvet red. What a nice color. Anyway, had to go with IB. Which was my next choice. Had to have the S.

 

If I could get a one off, I'd go for the cardoba biege interior, but with the profile leather sport seats. I really like how the biege lightens up the interior, but I don't particularly like the seats themselves. To make up for it, I think I'll get all bieger floor mats, so it looks like my floor is beige.

 

There's a MCS for sale in the marketplace forum that's yellow/white with the lapis blue interior, which is one of the combos you apparently can't configure on the website. The guy says he's a Michigan fan.
