Just curious. Becuase I'm so anxious to get a mini, I just want to be around them.

Yep, I went on a run as a passenger before I got mine. Just makes you want your MINI even more.

If you go, you must either get vinyl and put counterfit bonnet stripes... or bring a shrubbery! (long story)

I hooked up with AtlantaMINI's right after I ordered mine. It's been great to meet the people you're going to do MINI stuff with.

A shrubbery might be arranged... Do I have to put on a metal helmet and run around in the woods?

Enthusiasts who haven't gotten their MINIs yet are always welcome to MINI meets! In 2002, before my first MINI arrived, hubby and I went to a few events in our Corvette!

Don't know where you are located, but be sure to check the regional forums here on NAM to see what is planned for your area! Cheers!

I'm in CT, I know there are a few things every now and then around here. I sure see a lot of mini's here! I really wish i could have my new car by the time the leaves start falling, but finances dictate that it won't be until winter. What a horrid time of year to get a new car. It's definetly staying in the garage.

Yup...my husband goes to all of them on his motorcycle. He put bonnet stripes on the tank and made a MINI badge for his handlebars.

I'm in the Mid-Atlantic region and we often have non-MINIs tagging along as they get a head start into the culture before their rides arrive. Be sure to check out NEMINI.org for local info and events.

Why garage it over winter? Plenty of folks install snow tires and think their MINIs handle winter conditions just fine!

I went in two different miatas! I knew i'd eventually get a MINI, just wasn't sure when. I got used to being at the end of all the lines though... if i was in the middle, people watching would point and wonder why a miata is in with all those minis

I was responsible for the white thing in this picture:

My MINI ran into a moose a mont or so before the first MINIs on Top (a big meet in New Hampshire) and I had the rental VW Bug.

I have a mini and I can't even get to a meet! They're all on the weekends! (I work in sales, and Sat/Sun are our busiest days .

I won a shrubbery/t-shirt when Alamo Drafthouse Cinema was playing Monty Python's Holy Grail in the theatre 9/7/05, for knowing the correct answer to some trivia. At said Holy Grail showing were some other MINI people. Now we cant wait for another one, so I can get two shrubberies going, so I can get the tiered affect, with a path running down the middle.

I brought the shrubbery with me to the next MINI meeting (its a mini shrubbery), since I couldnt bring my MINI.

No no, I won't keep it undriven during the winter. I haven't got room for a second car anyway. I meant when it's not being used, it will stay in the garage as to avoid as much atmospheric onslaught as possible.

What I meant, is it would just be depressing to get a new car, especially one as fun as the mini, in the dead of winter. (I told myself I'll have one before year's end.)

You would not believe the number of counterfeit MINIs that were at the Dragon this year in May.

I've been to a few DCMM events. Mostly as a co-pilot

But once, I drove along in my BMW 328. I don't think the MINI's really liked having their "Uncle Bimmer" around though.....

That's good to know, Aeromax! Your MINI would be very lonely if left in the garage for long! Garaging is a good thing. Wish I had that option....my hubby's Corvette gets to live in the garage....
