MINI Cooper Stamps?

Does anyone know if there has ever been a postage stamp with a MINI Cooper on it? MINI or Mini? I'm talking about a country issuing a stamp not something you could make at stamps.com.

Just curious. Thought it would be a neat collector's item.

Yes, there has. Ireland did beautiful stamp with a classic Cooper S commemorating the ‘66 Monte Carlo Rally. I have two sheets, which I will scan and post later today.

Sorry, I had an absolutely CRAZY day at the office and didn't have a chance to scan the stamps. I have two complete sheets of the stamps. I don't want to sell them, but if you can't find them elsewhere I might be persuaded to let one go. But I really don't want to.

no worries

No worries. I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to let one sheet go. I'll just keep looking around the net to see if I can find any.

They used to show up on Ebay once in a while but the sellers wanted a fortune. It's been a while, though.

2009 Mini Stamps!! :)

I wanted to pass along the info that on Jan 13 (next Tues) UK Royal Mail will be issuing 10 British Design Classics stamps and the Mini is one of those stamps!! Go to the below link to order the first day cover, medal cover (which is numbered only 15,000 being issued), generic set, etc:
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/stam...diaId=90500758

These are really cool, even if you don't collect stamps (I don't, I just wanted them because they have the Mini.) I had previously found a PDF with more info but can't find it now to give you the link. It gave you more stamp stuff to buy and an alternate postmark for the first day cover. Let me know if you have questions and I will try to answer them in a timely manner. If you call them you can get other stuff, but it's an overseas call with a 5 hour time diffrence from the east coast.

Also, for the first day covers you have to have your order in before Jan 13 because they won't be available after that date. FYI.

Happy Motoring!!
W.

I just bought a first day issue. (January 13, 2008). The only disappointment is that like the MINI this is my 50th anniversary and my birthday is the 12th. Missed it by that much.

Close, but no cigar. Happy pre-birthday, though.
