I've seen that thing on ebay for like 2 months. They just keep reposting hoping someone will buy.

It's got allot of gear, but it doesn't seem like you're getting enough out of it to justify that price! But that's just me. Maybe some rich dude will think otherwise .

“This MINI has been built to please.”

Apparently it didn’t please someone because it’s used and traded after only 4152 miles.

Maybe a repo after the owner couldn't afford the payments.

I thought I would be amazed by such an expensive MINI, but I can only say that I am underwhelmed by it. . . . It's really not all that spectacular and I know I could do a LOT better with a much smaller budget. . . .

i think the car is pretty cool, come on, no envy... is it worth $47K? probably not, however it is one of the most loaded MCSs I have ever seen, and a free wheel upgrade, have you seen the wheels? I would take the bbss on the second row left, expensive.

If you goto the Mini website to build your own vehicle.....I think i got it up to 42k with every option they had on the site.

I can't open Ebay at work but I'm guessing it's the one from the dealer in New Jersey that's also been in Autoweek for almost 6 months. I sent an email to the contact person and when he sent me the price list, I had to laugh. The price may reflect the options (albeit a little inflated) but anyone who would pay that much for a Mini is really obsessed. That price leapfrogs several classes of cars and puts it in the ballpark of Elises, Corvettes, etc.

ha ha ha... i love how 'Clock' is listed under 'Luxury Features.'

But, seriously, $47K and no coffee-maker-option?

I've seen this car in person at MOT-05. It was driven there by the head mechanic for the dealer and he was giving away t-shirts out of the back. He also had the sticker handy for anyone who asked about the car. He said at the time it was ordered/spec'd by the owner's son.

I wonder if it includes the "This Car Climbed Mt Washington" bumper sticker.

Don't forget about installation fees for all accessories. Especially the JCW kits.

I like the way they start with the MINI dealer selling price, and then add the options. The selling price is about $5K over retail sticker, right? Very deceptive. Also says the condition is "new" but the car has over 4,000 miles on it.

It "sounds" like quite a bit when you total it all at once...but we're all going in that direction to a point.

Figure you've got the price of your car $$$
Add:
the pulley you had to have
those coil over shocks
oh yea, I like those painted arches so there is another $1000
then the few doo dads, parcel shelf, mats, boot handle, chrome interior trim
those hot wheels that catch your eye $2000 w/tires
intake & ECU upgrade
bigger sway bar to keep the big tires on the ground
a few carbon fiber bits
etc etc etc

add it all up and we've all got our own little version of that car. I don't even want to figure up what I've got in either of mine...

Heck, I spent $35 to have my non-MCS "new" MCS gas cap powder coated black...not to mention the $65 I paid to get the MCS fuel filler for my MC.

OH yea...and those THREE sets of wheels that are in my garage, those bumpers that I just had to have, extra tail lights....damn, my cheap little car is sure getting expensive!!!
