I just called the 866 number and the automated system said my order is in scheduled for production. Which is the 2nd step, it's my first time calling so I'm not sure when it has been moved from step 1. checking the website OL, it still says 'On Order', step 1. Anyone in this scenario?

Whoo Hoo! Icarus has now been officially moved into the scheduled for production WITH a date! It is scheduled for the 09-05-05, Week 36.

I'm starting a new thread for a support group so everyone in that week can jones, whine, complain, get-a-life-just-be-patient-and-deal-with-it together.

I searched and could not find a 09-05 production thread so if there is I couldn't find it.

 

It's official, as of today I am in the club.

I ordered my 06 MCS from Nashville and was told an estimated early to mid October. John Monk, my MA, said it was one of the few 06's he has ordered and wasn't sure when the switch over to the new model year at the plant will begin.

Specs are BRG/B MCS, Anthracite headliner and dash, chrome interior, cloth seats, foglights and LSD.

I haven't made up my mind about naming it Norbert II yet. Or, as Clover suggested since it's Alabama, Norber Lee, Jr.

PurplePeopleEater, I'm glad you liked the idea for the tag. I was discussing it with my wife and she came up with the, for now, secret tag name. :smile: Welcome to NAM.

Well, off to check out MINIUSA and poke around with my production number. I told my MA I'm going to call him everyday and ask is it here yet.

 

I got my spec changes in.

Also, my production number hasn't been officially released, but it looks like the first week of October for production. I'm hoping for mid November delivery (given that cars appear to have been waiting on the dock for a while).

 

After reading the week 36 production thread, I called MINIUSA to check my status even though I put in my order only 4 days ago. Talk about quick. I am scheduled for production but don't have an assigned date yet. MINIUSA said it may be the 2nd week in September.

This is a lot faster than last time I ordered. It was over a month before I was able to get a VIN or production number.

Just off the phone with MINIUSA. Currently my MINI is "on order" in the OL, but MINIUSA is saying production is slated for week 40 (1st week of October).

 

DiD - Congrats! You can start a Production Week 40 thread and lead that support group. I started the week 36 thread. It's a long way to delivery. -sigh-

 

Ok so I just contacted my MA to see if I could get a spec change but she said my car was already in production. I wanted to add front and rear fog lights and switch the 16'' 5 star wheels for 15'' 5 star Rockets. I didnt think my car would go into production so soon because I got royal grey with a silver roof and I thought that color combo would take a bit longer. Any advice as to what I should do? Is there a way to add fog lights after I recieve my car?

Probably too difficult to determine, but I was wondering how many MINI owners belong to an organization, such as NAM, DCMM, phillmini, etc. BTW, these are ones I belong to plus a few others. I have left calling cards on every MINI in Southern Maryland and have yet to receive anything back from anyone but Amie. Maybe I should change my deodorant. No one is that busy that they can't send an e-mail back to me or join us at the rootbeer stand for a float on a Sunday afternoon.

I placed the order on the 18th of this month.... Already scheduled for production a week later and according to Ask-Mini on Tuesday, it will be ready to ship on Sep1st...

But I gotta wait a little longer due to my Mini will be on a ship from LAX to Honolulu after the ship arrives to LAX from England... :impatient

 

I now have a confirmed build date of 9/12.

 

SB, looks like our cars should be coming down the line together. My BRG/W MCS also has a scheduled build date of 9/12.

I had mentally prepared myself to wait until the end of November, so I might be pleasantly surprised with my arrival date.
