What are you getting?

 

I got the hyper blue mini with white top. When I got it, I went to the owner's lounge at miniusa.com with my order number. It shows that my mini is as a pepper white color. The dealer says this is ok and the site should update with my correct options soon. Anyone else has this problem?

I got a very barebone mini keeping the total less than 23k. probably most expensive option I got was the xenon lights.

After owning an Acura 99 TL that had every single option available. I'm able to easily pick which options are needed and which are a waste of money. If it were my first car, I probably would have got all 4 combo packages.

 

yes, the owner's lounge showed our new MINI as the wrong color before it updated a few days later. My Motoring Advisor warned me of this. Otherwise we would have been worried too. . .

Hyper blue is great! We debated between that and the Purple Haze.

 

Icarus has been scheduled for production with no scheduled production date. All systems are in the process of updating. I imagine that will happen by tomorrow at the latest.

For those who have gone through the production process you're right. This is a killer waiting for news of your baby. Checking the website everyday several times a day. You tell yourself to stop it but you can't help it. You have now become an obsessed expectant mini owner! You have now crossed over into the MINI Zone!!!

 

and don't think it helps if you are ordering your second or even third mini. i'm checking the progress of the ship that my mini is on a couple times a day. ok, 3 or 4 times a day. ok, every chance i get.

I didn't think I would be like this. I've had my MCS for almost 3 years now and I would have thought that ordering a Cooper CVT for my wife would not send me into a constant state of anxiety and desire!

 

My '02s days are numbered.

 

Icarus remains in the "Scheduled for Production" stage with no production date scheduled. -sigh-

 

If '06 is anything like '02 was, then your build date won't show up in the owner's lounge until about 2-3 weeks before hand. Since we're talking october builds, that won't happen until mid-september if MINI is still holding true to form.

Does anyone with an October Build have a production week and a build number assigned yet?

 

I have a production week. It does not show up on the automated system, but when I call 1.866.ask.mini and tallk to someone they gave me a build week. Sept. 4-9. (The rep also said the production week may change to a week earlier or a week later)

Nothing is showing up in the OL, except the color and model. A few others I know are in the same week (over on the mini2 forums). The nice rep on the phone said I should expect to see my '06 about a month after production begins (on east coast). I am expecting the first week in oct., but my MA keeps saying end of Sept.

 

yes, I just found out that our new Cooper began production on August 19th!

 

I just put in a spec change today thinking I had some time given the silver roof. Time to call the MM pronto.

 

I understood from my MA that the Solar Red color is not going to be produced until October, so you should have some extra time. . . .

 

Yes, solar red isn't until october, I thought the silver roof was october too? no matter, solar red is definitey october. So I do have some time. I just want to make sure the order is in correctly.

Do you have access to the O.L. yet?

 

The order form that my MA sent me shows that all roof colors and body colors except Solar Red are available immediately. Solar Red is the only color listed as being held back until 10/05.

I do have access to the OL, but it only shows "scheduled for production" with no options details or a date. I got the specific info from my MA.
