Can't wait for October club!!! First 2006 Models
 

Well, we just placed our order and have a production number for the first of the 2006 Coopers to be delivered to Classic MINI thanks to NAM's favorite Motoring Advisor Julie Saxa. :grin:

Here's our basic specs:

MINI Cooper
Purple Haze with Silver Roof
Every chrome option
other goodies I am too lazy to list right now. . . .

This is going to be one sparkly MINI! :grin:

They still don't have the '06 colors on the miniusa site. Did you just go with gut feelings, or did your dealer have a "build your MINI" update with new colors?

The new colors and options like silver roof are not on the MINIUSA website, but Julie sent me the super top secret 2006 order form so that we could order the very first of the 2006 MINI's :wink::thumbsup::cool:

There are 3 new colors:

Solar Red
Space Blue
Royal Grey

Of course, we have not seen a silver roof in person, but we have that gut feeling that it is going to be spectacular, especially on the Purple Haze with lots of chrome.

To my eye, solar red has a bit of an orange tint and space blue is darker than previous blue colors.

No more MCS?

Fortunately, I am keeping the MCS and we are becoming a two MINI family! :thumbsup:

Good thing too, because I doubt I will ever get to drive the purple people eater

Well, I had finally given up on finding the right MINI gal to settle down with when I came upon the devious idea to MAKE one for myself! :wink::razz::grin:

She's working on her cute username and we can expect to hear from her once she decides which one she likes! :thumbsup:

When is your production week? Mine is Sept. 5-9. The rep at 1-866-mini-usa said it may flucuate a week in either direction.

2006 MCa Astro Black/White

i went in to mini of st. louis yesterday and spec'd my 06. i'm ready to order but i need to find out when JCW is really going to be available.

I think Julie told me that the factory JCW kits will begin production in November.

I just ordered my royal grey cooper from south bay mini. I should be getting the production number next week.

Well, I am a little shy, even in an internet forum, but I wanted to say "HI" and tell the mini community how excited I am about my first new car ever-which just happens to be an '06 purple mini with silver roof and chrome options. I am thrilled. :grin:

Yucca and I will post pictures as soon as they are available. We are hoping to pick the new car up on the way to a family reunion.:razz:

Nice! I also ordered from South Bay, but placed the order on July 2nd. No production number yet... :sad: Let us know if you get yours next week!

I'm heading out today to place an order for an 06, this will be my 3rd MINI :thumbsup: . Previous ones were a 02 MCS and a 05 MCc.

I remember a certain young gal falling in love with sndwave's EB/W MINI last year and stating out-loud that what she really wanted for her next car was a MINI...and that was early on in your courtship, too!:wink:

Howdy Clo, right now I'm thinking of ordering a 06 MCS with the Checkmate Pkg in Space Blue with the Silver roof and mirrors and maybe the LSD as well. I'll know this afternoon for sure. Baby gets here in December and there is almost no way to get a stroller in the boot of the cabrio, plus I miss having an S.:smile:

Hey all. First post. Long time lurker. Just ordered my MCSc on July 23rd. Hot Orange, blue top, blue leather, Premium, Sport & Cold packs, chrome exterior, LSD, rear fog, rain sensor, S-Lites (which will be replaced as soon as I drive off the lot), no real estimated delivery date. Dealer said sometime late September to mid-Oct. -sigh- I guess I can be patient as I've wanted a MINI since 2001. Just now able to get it the way I want it. Much aftermarket work to be done. Will take a long time so slow and steady on that front. Now to come up with a name.

Congrats on yours PurplePeopleEater, teej (whaddya get?), jtso23, & sagworks. Guess we'll all have to join the M.O. (mini orderers) support group.

Got 2 now, when the need arises (16 year old takes one to college) we'll probably get MINI#3. I can't imagine NOT driving a MINI. Congrats to all who are ordering their '06s!

Oh, and we have a name for those of us with more than 1 MINI... "3Ms" (Multi-MINI-Maniacs)

I'm trying to convince my mother to get an '06 MCS, maybe in SR/B. :grin:
