R50/53 After rain... Damp seatbelt?!
After rain... Damp seatbelt?!
Um... odd question. We've been getting a good amount of rain here (NoVa) recently, and one time I jumped into my MINI to get to work in the morning after a particularly nasty storm, and on the way I felt a dampness on my shirt underneath the seatbelt, on my upper chest near my shoulder. I moved the seatbelt to check my shirt, and that was when I realized that my shirt wasn't damp... it was the actual seatbelt.
Has anyone come across this before? It wasn't the seatbelt portion that stays exposed even when it's not being worn - this was a length of belt that is usually rolled up within the housing for the seatbelt. And before anyone asks, no, my windows were not open. No other sign of water anywhere else in my car.
So... thoughts?
Oh, and hello again. I realized that, while I check this messageboard daily, I have gotten into the nasty little habit of not posting - just lurking. I'll stop that.

I had this on GBMINI#2 shortly after I bought it; fixed quickly by MINI Peabody. Don't remember exactly what they fixed now ...
GBMINI#2 did not have a sunroof either. I think MINI Peabody removed the interior trim and there was an obvious water line that they traced back and fixed at the source.
