Is it possible to purchase belt tensioner strut only?

Recently I noticed the belt tensioner was rattling / bouncing like crazy.
After some research it appeared that the belt tensioner strut was toast.
Since I'd prefer the built in damping mechanism, Alta's so called "adjustable" tensioner is out of question.

I couldn't justify spending money on a complete unit due to a small part failure.
Is it possible to purchase the strut separately?

Thanks in advance!

Someone looked into this and as I recall, they concluded that the answer is 'probably not.'

For the price of the entire assembly on Amazon or rockauto, really no reason to.
