Well alright -- Me 'n' me missus went down to Mini of Towson and placed the order for my Mini tonight with a delightful English fellow named Barry. In 9-10 weeks (the gods willing), I'll be driving away in an Indie Blue w/white MC. Thanks to folks here, I made some different decisions about the options than I might otherwise have -- and feel better informed about those decisions. Always a plus, given my cast of personality. (Cancer with Virgo rising MUST have all the facts!)

I'll be hanging out here getting my Mini fix during the agonizing wait. All I have now is a pink piece of paper and a yellow Mini pen. (Good pen, withal)

Peace,

Mark of Pemburnia

I'd get a diecast model and paint it Indy Blue...mine helped a lot during the wait. Or an RC car , even better. Also , screensavers, blah blah blah...nice color choice BTW

Good luck. We'll keep you company during the wait.

Mark, got me an Indi Blue/White too...but don't worry I'm waaaay in another state. My wait is almost over and I could't have perserved even a shred of sanity without MCO. Really, the wait isn't horrible...it looks like little progress for awhile then BANG your car is being built, then BANG its on a ship. Pretty cool. Soon that little darlin' Indi Blue will be sittin' in your driveway! (...waiting for some motoring!) Good luck...great choice!

Give us the specs and let us know what choices were impacted by this site. I have to agree, especially since my most prized Christmas present was a pair of chrome mirror covers, which I learned about here on line. Ciao.

'Kay -- 'Twill have the 8-spoke wheels, fog lamps (an MCO suggestion). DSC, MFSW (another), black cloth seats with silver dash and trim. Folks here dissuaded me from the run-flat tires but I remained unconvinced on the sports seats. Just not that much utility -- for me -- for the money.

Your only waiting 9-10 weeks, that's great, I've been waiting 7 months for my MCS hopefully delivering next Monday. BEST OF LUCK

Congratulations!!! And to top it off, you got a pen. Man, I didn't score one of those with my dealer... Guess you lucked out all around!

I went with Indi Blue too - man, talk about an agonizing decision!!! It was one of the hardest decisions of my life. Indi Blue with a white top and lapis blue leather seats (even though my "motoring advisor" didn't advise them for some reason).

Oh, you mean I can still change my mind on something? Until when?

Hey Mark,
Great choice in color (See My Sig.). What other options did you choose?

The Plunge, Aye Mark
Very Good
I also delt with Barry of Towson, very laid back and no pressure.
A very good experience all in all.
They even beat my credit union's 4.99% with 4.89%
Though with 8 grand down
His time line estimate was very close, July deposit,Oct. order, Nov. delivery.
Well I got my MCS Dec 7, close enough.
Good luck and afterwords, anything else you tool in will feel like a boat.
Jim

Hi Folks,

I heard from Barry this AM. He says the order has gone in and they'll start building the car in 3-4 weeks. Cool! I decided to change my mind on one thing, though: damn the torpedos -- Sports Seats ahead!

This required a rationalization: On the ride home I noticed that our Honda's seats have the lateral support that the Mini's standard seats lack -- and which the Sports Seats have. Even though I've driven the Civic for 10 years, this is the first time I paid attention to this fact . . .

Heck, it's only money.

Peace,

Mark
