I have a new MCS in my driveway.

That’s mine. I just drove it back from Sacramento and it was a blast! Fortunately break-in will be done in about a week and a half since I already have 201 miles on the odometer (12 when picked up) and will drive it at least another 100 miles tomorrow and then to the Bay Area to work on Tuesday. Highway 99 was moving just about the recommended break-in max speed so I had to keep from getting too rambunctious. About 100 miles of that without radar keeps you on your toes, but there were plenty of other targets so I felt a little safer. At Merced I turned up the hill towards Yosemite and then home to Oakhurst and got to test the power on the hills. Highway 49 has some nice long 9% grades between Mariposa and Oakhurst that can really test your power. Being limited to 4500 rpm was the only drawback so it took a little longer to pass the ’begos on their way to Yosemite, but the car just kept pulling even in the higher gears. Tomorrow I plan on playing on the twisties between Mariposa and Coulterville so I should get a better idea about what I want to do suspension-wise. I hope to keep the grin on my face for as long as possible before I have to do a job that requires me to drive my truck again. It might be hard to get me out of the MINI. Oh yes, it’s Electric Blue with white top and wheels, cloth seats and anthracite interior (including headliner).

(sniff).......I love EB/W! It shall be missed.....(sniff)

But....man are you gonna have a nice weekend!!!! Have fun...and as far as getting out of your MINI goes, don't be too shocked if the thought of sleeping in it flashes through you mind...it happens. Sport seats are surprisingly comfy.....

No pictures, I forgot my Nikon at work so it will be next week. The sport seats in cloth are very nice and even my MA was happy they were since it was 100 degrees in Sacramento yesterday when she was moving it around. The leatherette and leather in the other cars were burning hot.

Congratulations! Electric blue/white is awesome! If I decide to get an S (my MINI is an '03 MC indi blue/white but I've been fantasizing about the S) that is my favorite color combo. I better hurry though if I'm going to do it. Does anyone know when ordering for '05s ends?
