not sure where your located, but i would highly recommend the Cold Weather Package. it's only $300, but it's soooooo handy if you get into a cold environment. the build looks great tho! looking at mid july early august delivery?

Congrats, r13ater! Gotta love your color choice!

I agree with Wraith, you might want to add the Cold Weather package. I live in Los Angeles, where it rarely goes below 50 degrees, but I love to have the heated seats for long roadtrips...keeps my back limber!

Also, I had a surprise snowstorm on my drive east through Arizona in April and the heated windshield and mirrors sure came in handy!

You may want to consider the anthracite dash/surfaces. It wears better than the silver (which I had in my first MINI). It is dark silver and a little sparkly and looks great with the dash material. Then you could also add the anthracite headliner to make your MINI look really stealth!

Thanks, but I live in Sunny San Antonio Texas where in Summer we hit 104 in the shade.

I currently have a black vehicle so I figure black will be fine for me.

I also ordered without the cold package.. It can get cold down here in the SE, but its really not necessary. I put the money towards the LSD. I almost went for the crono pack. I like the idea of having the meters, but I didn't care for the look of the center meter.. it just looks more retro with the speedo there... IMO.
Enjoy the wait! That's what I'm doing now...

If you roadtrip your MINI, you'll like that bun-warmer! I just drove through your fair city a week ago, on my way home from my almost-two month roadtrip. Doesn't it get a little nippy in San Antonio in the winter?

Why not get the factory installed exterior chrome package instead? It is only $250 and you'll get the front chrome grille, chrome mirror caps and chrome boot handle which should look awesome in your Jet Black MCS.

If you do the chrome grille only and pay the dealer to install it, it will come out more expensive than getting the whole package from factory, plus better installed.

Did you consider the Convenience Package?

I didn't want the chrome mirrors and I was up in the air on the chrome boot handle, I might end up not even getting the chrome grilles.

I did consider the convience package, but I didnt really see the need for what if offered, other than maybe the self dimming mirror. I dont like auto lights or wipers.

Not really, only gets into the 40's and 50's in Winter. Very rarely does it get below 40 during the day.

What? You don't drive at night? It is awesome to open the sunroof in the cool evening air and have the heated seats on....very cozy!

And to an Angeleno like me, 40s and 50s is...brrrrrrr...COLD!!!

Yes, the anthracite is very similar to the Dark Silver color available only for MCSs. It is a nice metallic charcoal grey.

If I were to build my Wanda today, I'd make the same choice. It will look fantastic with the black paint!

Good choice, thats what I went with on my MCS. Check it out.
My Mini
Though I don't have any good shots of the headliner, it looks pretty much like the picture above.

As someone else mentioned the Cold Weather Package is quite nice, I live in Houston, and my wife really likes the heated seats on long trips.

Yup! That someone was ME....and me likeeeee the bunwarmers!

The funniest part is I never thought I'd use them much, but after motoring for 10-14 hours at a clip, they REALLY keep my spine in good shape!

Looks like a great list!!! I'd recommend all 4 packages. I only got 2, and went through remoarse. Even if you think it's too hot for seat warmers, they WILL increase your resale value, and for the cost ($300) the package is a huge steal! Also, the auto wipers can still be controlled manually--there's an "on" "off" and "auto" setting on the switch.

Yes, the Ipod adaptor will work with the Ipod MINI.

All that anthracite looks really dark! Also, the steering wheel (and the tach ring) are always the light silver regardless of your selection...
