Surprise in my MINI

I was leaving to go to the video store when I was surprised by this....(see attachments)..not sure what kind of bird it was, but it was very happy to be set free. I guess I left my window cracked too much...it was still a memorial day miracle nonetheless...hope you all had a good one!

I wonder if we should rename the thread "Why you shouldn't leave your windows cracked"

As long as there is no bird poop, the critter is welcome.

Wow, you were sure lucky...

you found that bird in time. That's one of those red-headed MINI peckers! It shreds sports seats, rips the wiring out of HK systems and then poops on your steering wheel before flying off. Count your blessings!

Awww...one lucky birdie that you found him/her before he may have done some damage inside your MINI. Maybe him/her was looking for a nesting place....

Bird saving

I can't believe the coincidence!

Yesterday morning, I was at a store and there was a bird hopping up and down on a row of shopping carts. I noticed something moving inside one of the carts--another bird caged in the free space at the nose end of the cart, but blocked in by the rest of the row of carts.

There was a little gap at the top, and the bird must have squeezed in to eat some junk left in the cart.

The bird on top was staying with its trapped companion.

I approached and pulled the carts apart, and the two birds flew off together.

Two trapped bird stories on Memorial Day! A very unusual coincidence!

the bird

It looks like a House Finch. Put some birdseed in your cupholder.

:smile: It is a great little story! But it sure does look like birdie poop on the passenger's headrest!

I thought so! But I was surprised nobody else mentioned it. So I wasn't sure.

But here's another one (my keen eye has spotted);

What is the large Mini logo in the upper right corner (camera view) of the window? Is that something you put on?
