The new one looks way to MINI Evo to me. I do really like the orange and blue contrasting schemes. Out there but cool and for a race car you want to stand out right?

I do really like the old style though, especially if it was functional and would not possibly kill the MINI in the rain.

 

I like it for being different and looking agressive, but i dislike how the hood vents and cowl vents seem totally out of line together.

 

I dont understand why everyone is worried about the rain the old style hood allows rain to come in too. Besides you cant honestly think water never gets to the engine from under or through the radiator. As long as you gave a JC works or such airbox you are safe. I just have to give up my Alta cold air intake for the JC works as the drivers side vent opens above the airbox.

 

I'd rather have that hood on an Evo.

I dont know about butt ugly but I just got my mini back with everything painted and installed through BMW and am loving all of the head turning as I drive by.

 

Hmmm, looks like Klaus-Peter made some more changes to the design.

BTW, do you know if he's selling a wing like the one that's now on the Hyper Blue racer?
