Hey, I know many people have been wanting pics of people's tinted MINI's. I got my front two windows tinted with a 35% tint and my back and two rear windows with a 20% tint. FYI the lower the %, the darker the tint. Mine cost $125 at a local shop. They are Lumar Tints. Here are the Pics (also on page 122-123 of Member MINIs) By the way, those flames are just magnets, easy and hassel free.

Here are the "before" photos

I don't have a good side pic before the tints on my computer so here is one like mine:

Your car looks great with the tint, it was the first thing I did to mine.

Nice job on the tinting, had the exact same tint done to mine when I picked it up in August, really makes a big difference in the appearance of the car especially when you have a black top like mine, makes the car look shorter and definately cooler in the summer time !

O.K. ....in the Members MINIs photo gallery I posted pics on page 41 and 48 before the tint was applied. Then go to page 61 to see pics with the tinting.

I tinted early on - quite dark as well. You might be able to see some of the tint in my sig. link below. The dark tint on the LY/B makes the MCS look like a little Limo - or a Hearse!

It's well worth doing. The MINIs look cool tinted.

I love the look of a MINI with tinted windows. I'm undecided whether I'll do mine or not. If so, it won't be too dark (35% all around, with maybe 50% on fronts). I'm not too fond of the potential "donut factor", especially up here in ****-retentive Michigan.

Has anyone investigated whether magnets or static window clings could be used for the roof (US Flag, Union Jack, custom design, etc.)? I'd love to have this done, but am concerned about the "semi-permanence" of vinyl graphics.

P.S. Where'd you get the flames?

yea, definitely gonna tint Roxy's windows, especially since the sun visor are soo useful I'm thinking pretty dark in the back (darkest allowed in CA) and then just a light tinting on the door windows. with the BRG/W, should look pretty slick!

I only put them on for special occasions. Like the pic is from a MINI meet in chicago. Unless someone KNOWS it's a magnet, everyone thinks it's permanant.

I got mine done as soon as I got the car. Its a must for Southern Cal folks when it gets abpout 120 degrees in the summer. I was just motoring on I-10 to Palm Springs the other morning going about 90 mph (along with the flow of traffic of course) when a CHP comes up beside me. At first he was gonna cruise on by until he gets along side and realizes he can't see into the car because of the dark tint. WELL on come the lights! He writes me for tinted windows!!!! (#*?!%^##). Now I have too take it off, get it signed off as done and have it put back on. Only second ticket in over twenty years of driving around with tinted windows. Well its worth it to look soooo coooool!

Looks great. No tinting for me though. I like to see as much detail about the car behind me as I can so I know if I need to stomp it.
