I just found out yesterday, and kind of disappointed with myself that I never realised this before (after over 18 months of ownership), but the Automatic a/c dash unit is actually designed to be an image of the MINI Logo..... have a look at it. Can anyone post a pic of it?

 

I didn't realize it right away either, but it only took me a month or two!

I think it took one of these sites for me to notice. The MINI manual didn't mention it (from what I remember) or lit. Those crafty devils

Okay, I've known that it repped the mini logo - but what I didn't know is that not everyone's car had it. What does your console look like?

 

Unfortunately they've gone way overboard in that direction in the new interior shots we've seen for the '07s. At least in our cars it's fairly subtle, just the suggestion of the MINI logo. Hopefully the new design doesn't make it to production...

I think the new design is more solid and BMW like. I like it.

 

As for the new interior - I can only hope the images we've seen are simply prototypes and not the final interior that'll be going into production. I don't like it... looks to much like the electric golf carts I use to drive around as a kid!!! ...the current interior IMHO, is visually stronger, with it two bold uprights on each side of the center console.

As far as the auto climate interface resembling the MINI lgo, that was actually one of the first things I noticed about the interior when I went for my first test drive. Ultimately, that was the only real reason I went with it as an option - I never really use the auto climate control.
