Just for the sake of discussion...

Many of us are glad to converse with total strangers on the awesome prowess and cheeky good looks of our favorite car. Do you think you've sold any....not closed the deal, of course...but gotten someone interested enough to stop by the dealer and eventually purchase?

I've got a friend of mine who's salivating over a cabrio......she can't even say Cool Blue w/o going into some sort of ecstasy. She wants me to take a day off and go with her for a test drive soon. Another buddy at work just bought an MCS...we had talked a lot. Now whenever I see him in the hallway...no matter what's going on otherwise...first words out of his mouth is, "Man that car is fast!!!" and he gets this goofy look on his face. That guy has lost it!

I've talked to scores of other folks, too, as have many of you. I'm absolutely sure NAM has, as a community, helped push not a few folks over the edge into motoring nirvana. Any interesting tales?:smile:

But then again I am a MA so I guess I don't count for this hehe...
I have had many customers who did research on this site before coming into the dealership though.

I just sold one last Thursday to a guy at the Gas Station pumps. He had a 5 series and he came up to me and said "I was thinking about getting one of these, are they any good?" I told him to stop thinking about it and just go do it.

He loved the other info I gave him, I bet he ended up at the dealership this weekend.

I've sold about 5 total.

 

:smile: Oh, gosh! Since taking delivery of MINI #1 in '02, I cannot even count how many sales I may have influenced!

The early MINIacs reassured a lot of nervous looky-loos back in the day, that is for sure! And wherever I go, even in Los Angeles, where there are so many MINIs, I am asked about Wanda!

It is fun to share the enthusiasm and I hope that I've encouraged people to join our cult!

I have sold one of my MINIs privately 2004 MCS. Easiest sale ever. $700 above original MSRP sticker and the buyers didn't even wanted to test drive the car!

From NAM I have referred member Moneypenny to my MA and dealer (Lauderdale MINI) and she eventually took delivery of a beautiful new black '05 MCC back on March 19th, 2005.

 

i actually sold one at a dealership, a lady was looking at a cabrio and was asking me about it, she said i think i want it and i took her over to a dealer where she promptly bought the floor model. i'm sure i've influenced several other sales as well, i think we need to start making commission

 

One of our co-workers THOUGHT she wanted a MINI... now she KNOWS she wants one, and has it on order! :smile:

I've sold 3 so far! One to my old next door neighbor ('03 PS/B MCS), another to my neighbor three doors down ('04 IB/W MCS), and one to a family friend ('05 CR/W MCSa).

Luckily my next door neighbor moved, so there are only two on my street now! I'm still waiting though for my commission check.

 

I have sold one Mini, Right after I got mine I registered it on base and the gate guard looked it over and he had a lovely 04 IB/W several months latter.
