Anything like C3 club in Az

I love the idea behind C3, but getting to cali with the sometimes odd hours I work can be hard so I was wondering if there was anything similar in Az somewhere.

Hi, Liz! Why don't you start a branch of c3 in AZ? Visit the site at http://c3club.org and ask about how to get started! Thanks for asking.

*Going to move this thread from General Discussion to MINI Talk.

I think what your looking for is the Dynamic MiNi Collective at:

http://dynamicminicollective.com/

But also check out:

http://www.azsolo2.com/

for the local SCCA Solo2 schedule. AND ...

http://nasa.double-apex.com/

for track events with the Arizona Region of National Auto Sport Assoc. (NASA).

Well the thing I like about C3 is they raise money for charities... though it doesn't mean I won't take part in others of course.

There is plenty of room in our MINI world for several clubs per area.

One concept that is possible is for a c3 branch to work in conjunction with local/state clubs to organize charitable fundraisers for everyone to support!

Not suggesting that c3 is a competitor, but rather, it could be viewed as an adjunct to the existing motoring clubs.

I have 2 homes in Pheonix, and am looking to buy one in Sedona.
I would love to join AZ C3 club as a part time member.

That's exactly right.

Hey Liz,

We can definitely help you start a c3 chapter in Arizona. It's actually something I've been wanting to get going for awhile.

To help support our cause, we've been working with local MINI dealers who have been very receptive of our cause. For instance this MINI/Mini Car Show on May 21st is such an example where a MINI dealer contacted us about holding a show, and what could be done. Another MINI dealer has offered to hold a rally in our name.

There are already many clubs in SoCal, and some focus on track events, and general driving destinations. Some charge dues, others don't. Some like to incorporate charity stuff in their activities.

As you know, our sole focus is on charities focusing on children and the elderly. But we still like to have fun! Recently a club member organized a canyon run that included lunch at Angeles Crest Highway, and of course we're known for our free Meguiars Detailing Clinics, and the various mods that I've done writeups on such as the Brake Mod, British Female Nav mod, MTH, etc... Lots of how-to stuff too. Future clinics on basic maintenance are planned---brake pads, oil changes, etc..

That's really our hook to help us gain new members. Provide information and training on MINI related things for free and request donations towards a particular cause. You just gotta find your hook, and I can help you if needed.

Feel free to PM me for advice/help!

How about in Mississippi? - I think what you all are doing is absolutely great -ESPECIALLY since it's for children! Kids love Minis and Minis love kids! Please bring info to the dragon on what i can do to get started - I'm in a new club the Mid-South Miniacs and I would like to take some information to our next meeting to get us started

Thanks!! We can definitely talk at the Dragon. I'll see if I can add this to my list of things to do---it's already a mile long. LOL

My only problem is that I'm not going to know who or what you look like!!! So hopefully you'll come to me. I'll be wearing a black VacuCam tshirt---uhm, assuming I have time to make them before then. LOL.
