hot orange with chrome package may look nice with the chrome stripes or the black with white edges since the softtop is black.....

Aesthetic Creations also has black stripes with chrome pinstripes on the side... might be the combination you're looking for. These are the stripes I'd use if I were striping my VR/B MC. If...

I ordered my magnetic stripes from ministripes.com. They cost about $45. I never leave them on for more than a few days at a time, so no problems with the clear coat. Make sure both the hood and the stipe are completely clean before installing.

I think I am going to lean on the direction of the magnetic stripes.

Had to stripe

I debated about striping my MINI for a long time, but ultimately I did (myself by the way) and am the happier for it. It just gives the car a certain bling! I'll probably change the style of the stripes in the future, but for now I'm pretty happy with Zippy's stripes.

This is a myth. I took mine off by just lifting the top edge with my fingernail and pulling them off. Very little residue left behind.

(As far as stripe vs. not, I like my car better without because my MINI looks wider without the black stripes. And I also added a center checkered stripe from CooperFlags, but even if I hadn't I'd prefer it stripeless.)

Very nice. Did you remove the MINI badge or work around it?

Good Job.

Badge removal

I removed the badges with the dental floss technique. Then I found some 3m automotive tape and reattached them. It really was easy. I was afraid I would lose the visual on the hood bulge, but even with the stripe it is noticeable.

For me, doing the work myself makes it more special, and of course it is hard to find anyone who has worked on a MINI in central Nebraska!
