It was so cool! I was driving to the store to try and find this video game that the guy I am dating absolutely wanted so bad for Christmas, when I saw my MINI twin....another pure silver and black Cooper! We flashed our high beams at each other and waved as we passed. I haven't seen another of my combination actually motoring around except at meets....now I know what people see when they see me on the road!

If the owner of that Cooper is on this board at all....I LOVE YOUR CAR!!!!

 

Maybe it was a big truck with a mirror on it like in CHiPS (destined to cause an accident with a truck overloaded with crates of chickens) and when you flahsed and waved it was merely a reflection!?

I passed the car I am set to order in two weeks and decided to change my order - it just didn't do it for me. I'd seen the CR/W color combo at the dealership but when I saw it on th street it just didn't do it for me. Now I'm thinking Black w/white top - I better hurry and figure it out.

 

That's good that you were able to figure that out before you ordered....at our last meet in PA, there was a black S with a white top....it was so incredibly sweet looking!

 

You saw a twin!! I haven't even seen another MINI on the road since I got mine on Dec. 5!! I did see one just like yours in a little town called Frankenmuth about 3 months ago. All silver with a black top. It was at that moment that I knew I had to have a MINI.

 

It is kind of funny to see your twin. We were on a road trip down to see the folks, a nice nine hundred each way, and as I was pulling into their city what appears in my rearview mirror? My twin. It was very funny, but very nice to see. That was the only other Mini we saw the entire week there.

The loaner car at MINI of Towson is your twin. I drove it while mine was in the shop.

Well, the chances of seeing your twin are great.... the silver combos are the most common seen. And with the onslaught of the New MINI Campaign, we will see more.

My color choice situation was similar to yours, except that I ended up with the CR/W combo. I was all set to order EB/W until I got to the dealer and saw the red/white combo....and was reminded of the first MINI I ever saw (except for the Detroit Auto Show).... at Mid-Ohio Race Course last June. Of course, it was CR/W and I thought it was the best looking car I'd ever seen!

So, I changed my order last minute to CR/W and added the Cold Pkg with the dough I saved. Now that I've seen IB/W and BRG/W, I really like them also, but the CR/W is still the one I like best. :smile: :smile: :smile:

Maybe where you are, but not so common here.....since I got my MINI in the beginning of August I have only seen this other one....and one that was parked. The most common combos in my area are chili red/white and dark silver/white..........I have actually seen 4 liquid yellows in my area.....
