I'm becoming one of those people...

Last night I got my first little bit of customization installed on my new MCS. I "installed" (ok, stuck on) chrome rings around my front turn indicators and fog lamps. Well, I'm just beside myself with glee. I keep looking at them and polishing them. I turn on the left signal and watch it reflect on the chrome ring and then the right. And now it becomes clear...I have turned into one of those people who are obsessed with their car. Geez, I'm even posting on a forum with other people who are equally obsessed. I spend my idle time surfing the web looking for the best bonnet and boot stripe package...soon I'll start calling Mini's car salesmen Mini Advisors (like they really offer advice beyond - "oh yah, spend more")...then I'll start affecting a British accent and boiling and overcooking all my food...help! help me! Blimey!

Like he said its too late for you! Just wait until you spend time washing/cleaning/shining everything! I spent 2-3 hours cleaning my Mini today! I remember the first cleaning/washing/shining was about 4-5 hours. Just wait.... It becomes better! lol

not to worry... until you've spent more on accessories and mods than the car cost, no problem!

When we first got ours my husband would see one speck of dust and say "they're gonna kick us out of the Mini club if they see this" and then wash it with a fever I'd never seen Then some strange bug bit me and now I'm doing it, I wash that car like every other day - what's become of me? And I won't even get started on the accessories and mods and fun stuff we've been starting to add and obsess over ordering. I'm with ya bud ... we have obviously stepped over the miniaholic line and I think we're here to stay! Let's enjoy the ride!
