Anyone out there taken delivery since MINI has been shipping with the factory armrest.

How does it look? Do you like it?

We ordered ours with it. Won't know until June. I will keep an eye here for responses.

 

I ordered my 05 MCS with the armrest and love it. It's very comfortable and it will flip up and straight up if need be.

Is yours the new factory one or the one that they had as a dealer accessory? Is it removeable? Does it take space away from the back seat area?

I have the factory one coming with a MCSa I have on order. I hope to see my MINI in the next few weeks.

I have the factory installed armrest. I picked up my MC last Thursday. My MA said it was the first MINI with a factory armrest that they received. It is smaller than it looks on the MINI website. It is functional and doesn't get in the way except if you want to adjust the seat back or lumbar support (on leather seats). The best way is to just flip it up when adjusting the seat. I did have some creaks and groans from it on my drive home. It matches my anthracite interior perfectly, which surprised me. (Is MINI making different color armrests to match different interiors???) Not much room inside it for storage. The top slides back to open then flips back if you need to access the entire storage area. I think the overall quality of it could be better, but so far it does the job... I'd rate it a 4 out of five stars.

 

That is exactly what I was looking for. I had heard there was some problems with delivery. Earlier this year cars were ordered with factory armrests but were missing at delivery.

I did not get a color choice so I would believe I will get the same color as yours.

Time will fly now!!! Mine set sail on the Maersk Tide on 3/16 and I picked it up at my dealer (on the East Coast) on 3/31.

I did not get a color choice on the armrest either, so I wonder if they all come in one color or if they are matching them to each interior... My MINI was on order for about two weeks when MINI announced availability on the factory armrest. I quick contacted my MA and said if the armrest had a storage compartment, I wanted it. She was able to get it added to my order just in time...

Mine is the one that I ordered from the dealer. It doesn't really take away space from the back seat that I can tell. I'm never back there so I can't say for sure. I have had friends ride back there and didn't think they had a problem. I believe it mounts into the cup holder area, and will rotate upwards to better access the side controls of the inside seat area. I know it easier to adjust the seat backs if you move it up and out of the way.

Anyone receive one they ordered? I received delivery in February without the armrest and ordered one from the dealer... I have not received it yet... and they claim it is on backorder.
