Picked up my new baby yesterday!!!

After deciding last summer I wanted an MCS, but waiting to buy a house, get laid off, and find a job, I finally brought home an 05 MCS yesterday!

As I drove her home - the long way  I knew she was worth the wait. I actually cheered and giggled all along the freeway - I am such a girl!

My husband - a BMW man for years - put her through her paces a bit last night and gave her his approval. In fact, I think he might like her a little bit more than his new Mustang GT!

Today - a clear, warm, sunny southern California day - we went motoring! A 150 mile jaunt around San Diego county through twisty canyon roads, up and down mountain roads and cruising on the freeway, and it was amazing! The ride is perfect (I have the 17" R90s with performance run-flats and was concerned that the ride might be too rough) and love the road feel and the responsiveness. I don't even know the right words to describe how much fun a ride it is. I am already planning a road trip for next weekend - I just want to drive and drive and drive!

Looking forward to years of motoring!

Carol

Congrats! Careful, or you may find yourself driving that Mustang a lot after finding the MINI missing from your garage with your husband at the wheel.

P.S. What is a "BMW man" doing with a new Mustang anyway?

The hubby's just sold his 2001 330i and wanted something to hold him over until the new 3 series comes out, so he went for the HP of a Mustang. He figures he'll be bored with it in a year. His family (also avid BMW drivers) are ribbing him endlessly about it!

Donna: I live in Mission Valley and work in Sorrento Vallley, so if you see an all EB MCS between those points, it's probably me!

Hoping to get some pics up soon!

Hey! I make that same commute in my Pepper White MCS every morning between 8:30 and 9. Well, I continue on to Solana Beach, but there's definitely some overlap. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a new EB/EB. I saw an EB/EB driving to Del Mar last week, so I guess yours isn't the only one in San Diego.

Welcome to the crowd!
