Does anyone know if Mini makes any Door Handle Scratch Guards. On other vehicles I've owned that had body colored handle backings, they became all scratched over time. Any input from others would greatly be appreciated.

 

MINI does not make such covers OEM, but you can find them in the aftermarket from an excellent company here in South Florida called "MyMini":

MINI Madness used to sell door cup guards that were cut from clear-bra type 3-M material. I ordered them and screwed up the first one (directions didn't make sense until I had ruined one) which was fortunately the passenger side. I would love to get another one, as the passenger side is still unprotected. They are great because you can't really even see them, unlike those chrome and carbon-look pop-in guards.

I need to contact them to see if I can get the pattern. Then i could have my own cut!

The Door cups! That, and a 12"x12" piece of clear-guard film is like $6.50. They nail you on shipping thouhg, so plan ahead and buy all you need. Since I only need one door cup, I am going to cut my own with my leftover material. But now I have all kinds of ideas, like the liscense plate light cover/handle thing,and the flat area on the back bumper that is prone to loading/unloading damage. Maybe even stone guard strips along the sils!

You can get chrome door handle cups from a few different vendors (Moss, I think?). Every once in a while someone posts asking for photos of them on an actual car, but I've never seen a photo posted. I wonder if they actually sell any of them.

 

Can a film be made that covered the windshield,maybe last 10,000 miles?Even 5000?
