I guess I shouldn't complain. I've only had my MCS for about 3 weeks. But I've been waiting for the freebies.

On delivery the dealer gave me the very cool MINI key ring (long loopy wire thing with a MINI wing badge). Today I received a MINI Emergency Kit - with "stuff" in it.

The "stuff" was:

An "Awkward Silence" CD - not a bad selection of music. Certainly not road-rockin', but OK;
A speeders' excuse card, for use when the cops getcha;
A "MINI On Delivery" card to be placed on your dashboard when parked illeagally; and
A black binder with some Mini and MINI history and a bunch of self-serving MINI Canada stuff about financing and leasing (which, unless you finance or lease from MINI Canada is otherwise irrelevant).

However, I feel good about having received something in the mail from MINI Canada. After reading about all the good swag you Yanks get, I feel (as another thread said so eloquently) part of the neighborhood!

Wonder what's next????

What Yanky goodies? Although I don't feel deprived in service or exptations, I've only received a little piece of cardboard for spray painting "MINI parking only" in my parking place.

I am now on my 3rd BMW MINI and so far I have been given a mouse mat and a bottle of BMW champagne. Wooooooo hoooooo. Hip hip horay. Oh yeh, and one dealer also offered me a cup of tea or coffee. Considering I have been back to the dealer a number of times for various faults and re-calls, that isn't very good.

After a month I received a stainless steel mug, a stack of those stupid 'message' cards, car bingo and the aforementioned lkoad of financial crap-ola. I'm still hoping for a key chain and a full-body massage.

I got a keyring for each key when I picked up the car.

Since then I got the box with the road bingo, pen, message cards and log book, and then another package with the MINI coffee mug that will fit in the front cup holder.

Hey Rygold! Who you callin' a yank?!?!

I'm an Aussie, dammit!!

I received a goody box today...it contained a MINI pen, journal, note card kit (in a cd case), and two automobile highway bingo game cards. There were also some literature about MINI finance (why would they send finance info six weeks after a purchase?). Anyone else get these?

I am in Edinburgh, Scotland. I picked my MC [BRG, chilli, sunroof, ASCt etc] up last Tuesday. We were given two keys [both with external flip], a very nice bunch of flowers [for the wife, I think], plus a set of cleaning materials in their own 'suitcase'. The car was 'hidden' behind a large cover on which was painted a zip!. The process of picking up the car was made better [than any other new car we've purchased] because the dealer [Gregg] went outy of his way. I assume the compant do this for everyone, but it was new to us.

I got a couple of keychains when I bought my car. A few days later I received a tag in the mail from the dealer to put on my keychain . The tag has the number of the dealer on it and offers a reward for anyone returning the keys if they are lost.

After I got my MINI from the Dealer at the same day I got a round kekchain with my MINI number on it. (My MINI was a 2002 MINI Cooper with number 58 from this dealer)
I also recieved 2 other keychain, black rubber floor mat, a new back-up carpet floor mat, lady red MINI bag, mini mouse pat, his and her t-shirt. All this because My MINI had some MINI thing wrong with them up on picking up and at the same time the saleman was very rude to me after the sale are final.
Free goody are good I guess but for the pain and suffer that we recieved from the saleman is not equivalent to us buying two MINI from them.

I got the keyrings on delivery (and a plastic emergency one for billfold). I'd forgotten to buy rubber front mats while there, so called and tried to purchase by credit card. Despite my having just paid $18,000 for the Mini -- and they had checked my credit rating in the process and it came back excellent -- I was told they couldn't accept my card by phone without my signature for this $50 purchase. I e-mail Eang suggesting they re-evaluate that policy making it more flexible since it is a bit offensive. I mean small mom and pop places have trusted my card's viablility for thousands. Eang (thanks Eang) wrote back saying he'd "gift them" as an acknowledgement of the same.

Since then I've only gotten a cool red Mini cap. After BMW called to poll me on my experience (tops all around), and asked for my address, I was eagerly hoping for the cup. No dice. But I may have drained my gift account with the free mats (even though I've read in other threads they are very often included anyway).

I know we pay full price so the "gifts" are nice extras. But I see them as extras and not entitlements. Hey but I do like gifts. Anyone wanting to send me any, I can send you my address if yo private message me.

I got a few things because my dealer messed up my first order and we had to wait about a month longer but we had to talk the dealer into them. I received the rubber floor and boot mats, boot box, boot net, two keychains from the dealership (nice but dont fit the keys right so am using the ones my wife got from her Honda dealer), and a $24,000.00 box of Smints that came w/ a free car!

Oh, and as a late 2003 mine came w/ the dorky cup holder already installed. It still there only because my cell phone sits perfectly in site there.

Doomsdaybob, you got the cupholder because it was a late '03??? Mine was built in mid-August and didn't have one. Gee, maybe they took mine and gifted it to someone else. Okay, someone who picked up their Mini from Bill Jacobs about that time has mine. I consider this a breach of my own homeland security and whoever you are: you can run but you can't hide forever. Until then I will just need to keep balancing my steaming hot java between my legs hoping the unspeakable doesn't happen on a curve...

I took delivery 2 weeks ago and got a decent batch of goodies from the dealer (mats, t-shirt, lapel pin), but still nothing in the mail from MINI USA. I hope they are still sending out those parking stencils...my garage needs it.

I got a call from MINI on day 12 of ownership, while I was filling Lil'Octane with Petrol (that's how the Brits say it don't they?) on my cell phone asking how I liked my new MINI. That was nice. I was actually north of Las Vegas, on my way home from Memphis, TN.

A few weeks later, I got the Template for painting my parking spot, and also another call asking about my MINI experience so far.

Then my birthday came on week 4, and I got a letter from my dealer wishing me a happy birthday. I loved the form letter, asking me to stop in and say hello on my next service. Uhm, that's a 1,700 mile drive back to Memphis!!!

Soon after I got my goodie box with the pen and bingo game.

Oh I got the MINI key ring and Numbered T-shirt on pickup, but not the Motoring CD's cause the dealer was out of them.

I have a late '03 (July build) and no cup holder or MINI cup.

And btw, I too received that silly Financing information in my goodie box. I actually paid cash for my MINI.

I had to pay for my rubber mats, and no lapel pin for me!

I'm not holding my breath, I think these are all very cool extras, and hope they don't stop coming!

I had my Mini delivered to me from Mini of the Hamptons, and inside the pre-installed cup holder were 2 keychains and box of Smints! Do you think they will send a goodie box to me as well?? Has anyone else bought a Mini from the Hamptons?? Oh yeah....I removed the cup holder!! It was just getting in the way!

We've gotten 2 MINI goody boxes in the mail so far. The first one had the MINI mug, very cool except that it doesn't fit properly in the front cup holders - too tall. I thought that was a hoot, especially since the accompanying note went on to say that it was designed especially for the MINI. It works nicely in the back cup holder, though.

The next box we received just the other day. It had the journal, pen, bingo cards, road service cards, etc., in it. It doesn't really matter to me what kind of stuff they send, it's fun opening it up. Keep on sending the swag, MINI USA.

Laurie

My MINI cup came today. Also was a MINI Motoringgear brochure. Inside they list the MINI cups as being for front or back. Guess these are for the rear, though I haven't tried yet.

Btw, I took the picture when I first opened the box, and later realized I should have taken the other side which has the MINI logo!

I got the identical package yesterday. When it arrived I thought it was the cup holder (which I don't want) so I was pleased to find the cup.
