I have a Cooper S with 7000 miles. My windshield has developed a hair line crack just to the right side of center starting where the windshield joins the roof and goes in a straight line down for 6 inches or so. There is no road rock hit or damage of the windshield by any object.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have an appointment with my dealer sometime soon I think (dealer not very responsive)

This topic has been discussed before. Just click on the search located on the upper right and search for windshield. That crack should be covered under warranty.

 

As jceviche points out stress cracks are not uncommon in the MINI. My MINI is on it's 4th windshield (2 replaced for stress cracks). Your dealer should be covering this under warrenty. If not, let us know.
