Has anyone ordered and put on mudguards for your MINI. I have ordered some and my car is due to arrive today. I have found them to keep a lot of the junk/spray off the side of the car especially here in Colorado during the snow. I was curious if you have put them on if it is straightforward or an ordeal. Any input would be appreciated.

Coachb47- LY, Sport, cold package. - can't wait to pick up this week
There is hope for those waiting, mine was originally due in February

I put the front ones on this weekend and it was really easy. There's a screw on the underside of the fender edge that you take out, and put the guard on, and then replace the screw. Then on the leading edge, there are two screw holes to screw into the plastic.

I have not purchased them, but when you do try them out, please let us know if they help.

I would like to get some myself.

But when will we be able to get brush bars? When is the Eddie Bauer edition coming out?

I think the mudflaps are almost a necessity. In Toronto, where the streets are constantly slush and crap covered, the back of my MCS is yuck! My rear window is always filthy.

I expect the mudflaps would help. Can't wait to hear.

Please be sure to post some pics if you do this. I've seen the rears (on MINI2?)- not sure I like the way they look - but I have not seen the fronts.

any MINI dealer should be able to order the parts:

Front; 82 16 0 136 806

Rear; 82 16 0 136 806

I ordered from minicooperparts.com. 25$ for front and 45$ for rear. Took about a week to arrive after the order. I will try to post pictures and installation comments after I get them on.
I plan to put them on next week as my car is at the dealer but they won't have it ready until Sat. it is driving me nuts. But still better than original estimate of Feb delivery.

My dealer just told me there's no MINI mudflaps for the S.

Anybody heard this before? Or have you bought aftermarket, non-MINI flaps?

The Partslist calls out front flaps (with the same 806 number) but does not list rear flaps for the S

Yep - that's what they said - no rear flaps for the S - just fronts.

Too bad - the rear is the problem. This time of year my rear window is kuk!!!!

Well that's it then. End of discussion.

I think I'll go buy a nice MINI or Let's MOTOR license plate frame.

It won't stop the crap, but at least I'll be shopping for MINI-stuff!

An update on installation. I installed the front guards in less than a half hour, it is very simple, with the hardest part getting out the jack and getting the wheels off. The Cooper jack works quite well by the way. Once the wheels are off it takes two drill holes and removal of a plastic screw underneath and then screwing that screw back in with guard on and putting a new screw into drilled hole and an expander rivet into the other. All in all quite simple and quick (about 30 minutes) and the guards look good and should prevent a lot of side spray. The back guards are quite bulky and cover the side light on the wheel well. I did not put those on. Sorry I have no pictures but don't have access to a digital camera at this point.

Had the car 8 days now and am very impressed with it, love the drive and handling.

CoachB-LY, sport package.
