We should have a Sticky in this forum for Mini's seen in Movies. I have posted quite a few before, but there is a pretty decent scene of Wil Smith and a Silver MCS in the new movie Hitch. In one part of the scene he jumps on top of the car and is talking through the open moonroof.

 

There's a MINI in the upcoming Miss Congeniality II.

In the latest ad from Costco on page 42 Costco/Capital one had an ad for "tiny auto loan rates" and the guy in the ad is leaning against a BRG MC.

Mini makes another movie appearance, this time in "Crash". It is LY with checkerboard roof and shows up in a chop shop of all places. Fortunately it was intact at the time.

Crash is an excellent movie by the way, I highly recommend it.

In "Ocean's 12" (nowhere near as good as Ocean's 11) there is a brief glimpse of a MINI. You see it near the end in one of the flashback scenes (black and white) showing a van moving down a street. As the camera pans it comes across a MINI in the foreground.:smile:

 

They placed a MINI in this movie when the were "in" England. It was during Kim Jun Il's description of all of the bombs going off, they showed England being blown up and one of their items to represent was a CR/W. Their was a Union Jack in the scene, but I can't remember if it was on the roof of the MINI or as a flying flag.

And in Team America, there are two MINI's IIRC. Blue and Red. They only breifly show a small glimpse of the blue one.

And thanks. I was forced to go buy Malibu's most wanted because someone said LY/W. I can't recall how many times i've seen that movie with friends but never paid attention to the mini.

 

Oh, in "Super Size Me" there is a MINI at the beginning ... motoring by a stretch Hummer!

 

Just rented the DVD. If you listen to the commentary, the MINI belongs to director Paul Haggis - "And there's my yellow MINI Cooper!" he says proudly. Apparently, they didn't have enough budget to rent cars for the scene, so they used cars belonging to the cast and crew.

(BTW, there are two "Crash"-es. There's one with James Spader from about 1996. This is the 2004 one with Don Cheadle.)

 

There is a MINI in the movie Wicker Park. It's driven by a psyco women. There is a good shot of the back of a MFSW. Seeing the MINI was probably the best part of the movie .

Just spotted this one today....in "Raising Helen", when she goes back to the car lot at the end to borrow Mackie's car, the front of a yellow MINI and the hood logo are on the right side of the screen for quite a while.

 

In "Some Kind of Wonderful" there is a beat up classic mini that is driven by the friend who is in love with the main character but he dosent know it.
